I don't really care for those shoes either but I have to agree with most of the other responses. Complete non-story. I'd rather waste banwidth on enticing torture stories!

Go EFI with it. 351W with 302 forged pistons, 351W rods (stock), stroker crank ($400) makes for a freaking awesome platform for even a daily driver.

How much rust does it have?

You didn't pay $3K for the car, you paid $3K for the opportunity to restore it.

I didn't even know sneakers go for that much.

I've always thought that the $200-300 for athletes-endorsed shoes were the most a person could waste on sneakers.

Nike makes custom leather laser engraved sneakers that can be one-off customs.

I think she just buys stuff without checking out the price which is really awesome and understandable considering her income and net worth. (and future earning potential)

engine? yea.....I'll get back to you in about 5-10 years when that happens.

Most of the rust is superficial. Floor pans and such.......minor spots in the cowl/firewall. Pretty straight body, which is why I think I overpaid for the car. At least that's what I keep telling myself. ;)

OddsOn, you're slipping. I would have expected you to tie in some quote from Jefferson explaining how Obama's shoe purchase displays her contempt for liberty.

I wish she'd step up and feed designer shoes to the homeless. Alas, a lost cause.

The real story here is that girls will spend money on stupid things.

Hell, my gf wants to spend $2200 on a freakin bag.

It's pretty bad that OddsOn isn't even as good at posting as the other trolls. I mean, seriously; think about that for a minute.

Anyway, the other guys are right; this thread should be about 'What's the Deal With Women and Shoes?!?'
