    Wow, so jealous.

Of all the games to attend throughout history, this one stands alone at the top. Repped.

I did not vote, but my first iconic NBA moment was running down Richmond St. in Houston the night after the Rockets won their first NBA Championship after taking down the dirty Knicks squad in seven games. Running down the street, drinking beers with fellow die-hard Rockets fans, high-fiving everyone as I jogged past a 2 mile long parking lot of cars full of elated Rockets' fans, celebrating the teams 1st ever TITLE. It was amazing and sticks out even more than the repeat run I made the following year after sweeping the Magic. Ahh, such great memories!!!!!

    GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first NBA moment didnt even happen on the court, instead it was in an amazing hotel which showed the NBA draft
"With the first pick in the NBA Draft, the UUUSTON ROCKETS select Yao Ming"

Changed my life forever! Thank god for that hotel or I could of been a heat fan I guess"

and besides...Ralph's shot is iconic in everyone's book.

just admit that you forgot that shot.

sorry, but this thread is only about iconic NBA moments. :p
So no one witnessed NBA Finals Game 5 1976. I was going to post this in the "Biggest NBA Rigged Games" thread, but knew no one would remember this. I could have said the 1972 Olympics, but that's not the NBA

Didn't forget the shot at all. Just didn't fit the parameters for this poll.

    Why all the hate, though?

I admitted that I could've been more specific about posting only 'first NBA non-Rockets' related memories. Wasn't trying to 'diss' Zboy at all. I'm too old for that silliness. Was just pointing out that I did try to specify the topic (first non-Rockets related iconic moment) but obviously failed. Posters are including their first Rockets memories too, which I'm cool with. Sorry, I can't edit the poll to include Rox hallmarks. I would if I could.

I repped the Game of the Century post because it was an awesome story that was well told.

Sorry you hate my poll... I was only 1 yrs old when your 1976 Finals experienced happened. I was just trying to have some fun and get to know NBA fans in the BBS.

I was in the building for Mario Elie's Kiss of Death. That was probably the first iconic moment for me.

I remember that 3 pt shot! Didn't Bird bank in the last ball on the rack from the right wing? He was on fire that year! Good memories.

Yeah, I remember missing that game and I was so bummed. But a few days later most of the kids on my street were practicing that shot too. I asked why they were shooting from behind the backboard... that's when I found out about Bird's shot that was waved off. Amazing.

Haha, me too! A few weekends ago I was playing some outdoor bball with my girlfriend's nephews. Tried to make a comeback out of retirement but all I managed to do was look like a fool and almost kill myself. Must have kissed the blacktop at least twice. The next 3 days were spent in pure agony.

But the 80s were a great time to be a kid.

If I had to pick one from the poll, I'd choose Magic's game as center.

Hmm. Don't recall my earliest moment. I just remember people storming the court at the Boston Garden.

Could have been 86... As they were playing the Rockets.

I never liked any sports. My first memories were when Stevie franchise and the rockets were against the Lakers. b**** ass kobe Bryant kept attacking the basket and getting the bull**** call against Yao Ming. He was just throwing his back against him and shooting reverse lay ups.
