I think I can explain why they are making this movie. Batman and Robin was a travesty, a stab in the heart of Batman fans everywhere. They hurt us so bad that as fans, we are owed, reparations if you will. I mean, just looking at the tone and feel of this trailer vs the previous films, you can see that they are taking it in a far more serious direction. Why would WB make this movie? Money, simple as that. There's a bonanza going on with comic book movies. Of course, to win big, you have to be respectful of your source material or you get a piece of crap movie like Catwoman. X-Pac, there's gonna be a new batman cartoon, but they're going away from the Batman the Animated series look and feel. this seems to be meant for kids and kids only. From what I've seen, it looks like the creators of that Jackie Chan cartoon are making this. It's supposed to be a about a young batman just starting out.
Batman went to hell when Keaton Left I thought Keaton did a GREAT BATMAN when compared to those that followed and in general Keaton was an EXCELLENT Bruce Wayne [I hated how the cut alot of bruce out of the second movie. . . ] As long as they DON't goto the TWO VILLIANS in a movie they should be ok . . . . . [Same for Spiderman] Movies only need ONE VILLIAN and LACKIES The Second movie didn't need PENGUIN and CATWOMAN I would have prefered it had been broken into two movies but it was at least decent .. . everything after BLOWS Rocket River
RR-- you and I rarely agree. so i like to point it out when we do. Keaton was freaking awesome as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
I would love for them to make a "Batman Beyond" live action movie also. But I've been harping on that for five years now. It's probably never gonna happen.
He might know him as the good guy in Newsies. The older brother. Man, that's just weird though, to go from Newsies to American Psychos.
