face it. that's just not Yao's basketball philosophy. He believes in the notion outsmarting your opponents is the way to win, not overpowering them. maybe he just hasn't been blocked enough to be convinced.

Yao said he used not to dunk on people in China because he was embarrassed to dunk on players smaller than him. It is the same if a grown up play and bully a 10 yr old for example.
I think he is adjusting but it is not something you can change overnight.

Ignorant fans on rockets boards, how common is it? Everyone post for the same reason, to get their views across.

Every NBA board has ignorant fans. Going on another team's board to bash their players makes such fans ignorant trolls. :p

Hey im asian just like many here that likes to watch Yao ming. Bashing, criticising, whatever you like to call it. I'm just sick of hearing all the positives about Yao like he's some kind of savior. He's okay but I feel that he's not really that great as many have made him out to be. You can call all the asian fans trolls if you would like to label me as that as well.

Sane,we are far away from reaching the playoffs.Everybody has to play their role and I think Yao will have to be more aggressive on the offensive end in order for us to win. That doesn't mean he has to dunk everytime or to throw elbows but he does need to anticipate the double teams better and get in a position where he has a good chance to score as quickly as possible.

Why are you sick of people overhyping Yao if you root for him, especially to the extent that bash him at every chance you get? I am an asian Yao fan who criticizes Yao too, but I can't stand all the lame a$$ asians who bash Yao just to show they are objective and independant thinking people.

Its call being a fan you r****d. Every fan criticise their player when they feel that the player isn't doing well and are happy when they are doing great. What part of being a fan dont you understand? Damm you're as ignorant as they come. Everyone player gets bash on this board. Why cant asian bash Yao? Because hes sacred to you or something?

I bash C-webb and and Peja all the time but when they do good im happy. Just like many rockets fans here bash steve when hes doing bad but are happy as hell when hes doing great.

    getta clue dude....

Of course a fan criticize players they like, but it's not that your oral dierrhea is a form of constructive criticism. It's not that only being supportive of a player means being a good fan. A good fan makes constructive criticism and objective assessment without downplaying the player. Let me give you an example, there is parents who abuse their children emotionally or physically, but feel good about their children if they do well in school etc. That's sick love. So get a grip and grow up. Nobody gives a damn to your "tough love".

Ming is getting better both offensively and defensively but he had to finsh those plays when he's under the basket. And I also think he should hit those 13 footers jumpers to draw his defender but his getting better overall.

Hold on, I'm not done yet. You think Yao is too slow, doesn't have high bb IQ and soft like ice cream. If that's your opinion that's fine with me. However, even Yao said his arm was sore after getting hit by someone, affected his shooting touch you try to depict him as a sissy wimp. Just never give Yao a break huh? Is that your support as a Yao fan? Ignorant troll. Yao should be sad to have "fans" like you.

Come on, professionals should be able to bear those pains:)
Look at Francis or Mobley. Yao should not behave like a girl.
