Man, the first day of kindergarten. My daughter is 8 now, and in 3rd grade. Her first day was today and it's still a bit hard.

I do still remember that first day of kindergarten. It was very difficult. Sounds like your son helped you handle it pretty well with his humor. Awesome!

Congrats on a big milestone....seriously. Kids are a blessing!!

My daughter starts on K on Monday.

She's so excited she can barely stand it. She has made me give her home work every day this week.

Yesterday day I did 2 sheets of math. On her addition I did numbers up to 10 added together (10+9 was the largest I did) and I did the same for subtraction. She got all 30 questions right. I think she's already better at math than her Mom :D .

Sounds like you have a great kid Max.

My son is 2.5 and mimics my wife and my comments like a parrot. I'm a big Arrested Development fan, so a lot of my responses to my wife end with, 'Come on!'. She, in turn, is an Apprentice fan and throws the 'You're Fired' around frequently.

We were driving around the grocery store the other day looking for a parking spot and, out of nowhere, he blurts out, 'COME ON!!!' He'll also come up to us out of the blue, stick his hand out palm down and say, 'Daddy, you're fired!'. I love that kid to death.

I'm always a little sad as the kiddies leave one stage of their lives and I realize i'll never get to see that bit anymore. But stories like yours make me look forward to the next stage.

Awesome Max. If you're half the man you portray on this bbs you're freaking amazing. Your friends and family are lucky...you are too. And you know it...which is the best part!

    Congrats.

We'll be taking the 3 and 1 year old to California in a couple of weeks. A day in Disney and an Angels game might be in the works. Can't wait!

My oldest started kindergarten on Tuesday. She thinks that school is too long. I told her to get used to it because she's got another twelve years to go, and then maybe more in college. They grow up fast.
