you didn't do anything wrong.. but it would have been a nice gesture to have driven her home. having said that, if she's upset about it and taking it the wrong way then it's best you find out now instead of later. she's going to end up scrutinizing every little thing you do/don't do.
You offer to take her home, ten minutes down the road you whip it out and say "you know gas ain't cheap these days". If she screams, you kick her out of the car (optional: stop the car first). If she's indifferent and ignores it then you take her home and know that at least she's willing to deal with the presence of your johnson. If she gets down to business, you might have a keeper. Take it from a man who has gotten busy in the Whataburger drive thru.
if you were really liking her then you should have driven her. if she was giving off the skanky vibe, then you drive her...you would be rewarded. if she was nice but you don't see yourself doing anything, then you let her take the train. That being said, unless I just couldnt stand her, i probably would have driven her home just to be nice.
If you picked her up for the date, then you should have drove her home. It's as if you got what you wanted and then decided to be a jerk.
Ohh I thought we were posting first date stories. My advice is move on, if it was supposed to happen she will call you. If not who gives a **** wasn't suppose to happen.
You can go either way, OP. I would have taken her home because I'm whipped like that and I do enjoy those conversations during long commutes. But I don't blame you for not taking her home (assuming you didn't pick her up). Just count this one as a loss and move on. Next time be sure to find a girl that lives closer. And ask your friend who set you up if the girl said anything to them. Report back.
Are you sure that is the reason she isn't taking your calls? Perhaps she had some other problem with the date and only agreed to the second date to avoid initial awkwardness.
Seems pretty clear. She wasnt worth giving the ride home to. Just average or slightly above average. Cant be giving free rides to everyone who is average. Notice he said "nice girl". You dont describe girls as nice, unless u dont think too much of them. Save it for a 10/10.
OP, on your next blind date, try pretending to talk on the phone to impress your girl. Talk about "selling" or whatever as loud as you can to look important. She'll definitely go on a second date. Women won't want to "thank" or even much less talk to gentlemen (if YOU could even be called that) who don't make the extra effort to make them happy. She won't call you back.
