This thread makes Cluchfans look silly. McHale is a first year coach and is 2-2, including a win over a pretty solid Atlanta team. In what world would he be fired anytime soon, much less the first coach fired this season?
D'Antoni or Westphal, I think Westphal is worse at coaching, but D'Antoni's in NY, with a franchise that has left their fans hungry for success, fairly or not, if the Knicks produce an unsatisfactory season, or suck then D'Antoni gets the blame- and the boot. Westphal probably won't stick around much longer, but my guess is the Maloofs wait until his contract expires or at least until the offseason. Avery Johnson might go too, if the Nets keep this up. For the sake of that franchise, they need Deron to stay, otherwise they might as well fold. However, landing Howard could change all of that- I believe the Nets have enough money to offer him a deal this offseason- something, if I'm correct, none of his preferred teams can.
No. It makes a couple of people here who say McHale would be fired first look silly. Don't ascribe the opinion of a very few to the majority.
I'm surprised not many are saying Flip Saunders. http://wusa9.com/sports/article/182163/25/Wiz-Kid-Things-Are-Getting-Embarrassing http://www.bloguin.com/crossoverchr...ip-saunders-is-making-the-jokes-too-easy.html
Flip doesn't have long either. He's probably next after Westfail. I knew the Wizards blew it by hiring him. The question is will Randy Wittman or Sam Cassell get the interim job.
looks like McFail is next. I'm not expecting to win a lot of games but neight was I expecting to suck this bad.
Rashard Lewis quits on Wizards? http://www.csnwashington.com/blog/w...7292&feedID=6458&awid=8297241934952269213-849 The Wizards are off to a franchise worst 0-8 start, and to make matters more troubling a team source tells CSNwashington.com that Wizards' forward Rashard Lewis got into an argument with Wizards' assistant coach Sam Cassell before the Minnesota game and Lewis decided he didn't want to play. Lewis did not appear on the bench during the 92-73 loss to the T-Wolves. The Wizards said a sore right knee was the reason for Lewis's absence. Lewis, the team's starting small forward and highest paid player -- like the rest of the team -- has struggled this season, averaging nine points and four rebounds.
Both Cassell and Lewis live in Houston, right? I imagine they've known each other well for a while. I wonder what was said.
