he deserves a reserve spot? he should get a court side seat at the AS game, at most.

Yeah, speaking as someone who lives outside of Houston, most people who follow basketball only know Harden as the annoying guy who works to draw fouls all the time (instead of "actually playing"). They don't see him as a good player so much as a guy who can get the whistle.

Concur. It's stupid. Maybe I'm not their target, but I also see very little correlation to NBA revenues and fans ability to vote in all-stars.

Come on, it is a popularity contest, so it is good to see that he got some love. Isn't that nice that all Rocket candidates were recognized by fans?

There are only 10 players will get voted in, for other players, it is nice to see they are well accepted across fans in the league. People just love Rocket players.

I will just keep vote them, won't make too much difference anyway, but still, I think players will be happy to get votes, and get supports, and get recognized...

If you haven't noticed, the entire voting system is messed up. Garnett and Pierce both over Brook Lopez? Really?

Asik wants out of Houston (I guess Rockets fans didn't vote for him. only for howard, harden, lin and parsons)
it's unclear where he will land
and he is playing behind dwight (only 10-15 minutes per game)

    But.....15.?

It'd be funny if Asik made it.

I quit taking the ASG seriously years ago. It's more comedy than real sport.

Lin is having a good year, but it's insulting that Harden is behind Lin. Yao situation all over again, Asian players win by default.

It is always interesting to talk about the results. But a lot of people here should keep in mind that the vast majority of fans are casual fans who not go to message boards or know what PER means.

Even more serious fans don't necessarily vote "seriously". I voted for every Rocket on the ballot that I could. I'm sure a lot of others did too.
