Since I'm a Rockets fan firstly, let me say Lebron is a titty baby b**** that can't win the big games, and let me say Kobe is an egotistic jerk that's whining scared Shaq and Phil away from the lakers at first and ruined what would have been the best duo in sports History but because Kobe acted the way he did he messed it up..

they both suck!... Unless they were Rockets ;)

    But this guy... haha

He doesn't need another star to win a ring. He is better than Kobe and LeBron.

Incorrect. The west was indeed stronger. Miami beat the Pistons... that's it. And I believe the 2009-2010 Celtics were better. Just my opinion.

Kobe really doesn't have to... but I'm sure if he had to.. he could do it.

After Shaq and before Gasol, Kobe did have less. He didn't do too well. They were a borderline playoff tem. He won 34, 45 and 42 games in 3 seasons. He went to the lottery once, and got knocked out in the first round twice as a 7th seed against the Suns. They almost got swept(1-4) in the last playoff series against the Suns, before Gasol.

    What's your point?

I'm not arguing that Kobe can win alone. The argument was about how much tougher the road is in the west than the east and then now you have an even tougher road to win the championship with the more elite and tougher teams in the east.

The other thing I said was he could take over a series (like Wade did) if he had to... but he doesn't have to. Wade didn't do it all alone on defense did he? That's a major part of a team and that's prob the reason why 50 pts every night against the Suns in 06 and 07 playoffs didn't really matter for Kobe. The Heat in 06 had one of the better defenses in the league. Wade may have beat the Mavs on his own on the offensive end, but he certainly didn't beat them alone on defense. All I am saying is, Kobe still has it in him to do so if he needs to.

It was a counterpoint to your argument that Kobe could take over a series like Wade did, if he had to. He had to take over the series against Phoenix but he almost got swept.

And... again. I explained to you. The Miami Heat of 2006 and the Lakers of 06 and 07 weren't the same teams. Especially on defense.

It depends on what you mean by best. The best individual player at this point is LeBron. Kobe has fallen off, a lot. He is no longer the Kobe of old who could put up 50 at will.

people are just fascinated with the 50 points. the point is lebron does EVERYTHING. he's the most complete player right now period.

scoring, rebounding, passing, defending, playing positions 1-5.

the only weakness in his game (and they're improving day by day): a post game, and a midrange game.

i think his decision to move to miami, and making himself a hated player, has motivated him to take his game to another level.

As a Rockets fan you should know better than this. When Yao was healthy he was an MVP caliber player. In 05 he was having a dominating before his first injury took him down and many people had him as the MVP favorite. A healthy Yao is a beast of a player that demands double teams. Pau is not on that level.

Let's take a look at the roster.

    Pg - Williams
    SG - Kobe
    SF - Jamison
    PF - Varejao
    C- Shaq

Bench - West, Parker, Hickson etc.

I'm pretty sure that team would've put up a better fight against the Celtics than the Cavs did last year in the playoffs but I can't say that they would have beat them. I will never argue that Lebron had more talent that Kobe bc I don't think that is the case. As a matter of fact I will never hate on Lebron's game bc I think he is undeniably a top 3 player.

you have to be foolish to think lebron is anywhere close to MJ. who would even bring it up?

but he's been the best player this year, and the past 2 years.

The West was stronger in terms of having more good teams but there was not another great team in the West. Similar to now, the East is more top heavy while the West has more solid teams, but there was no other team in the West during those two years that was a great team, or as good of a team as the Pistons were that season. Yeah the East team may have it easier in round 1 or 2 but not get out of the conference. All of the teams LA faced, no matter the round, were all the same caliber and not one of those teams were great. So if you want to give props for beating a bunch of good teams and not one great one (i.e. LA in 2009) instead of arguably two very good teams (i.e. the Pistons and Mavericks) then go ahead. Sorry, but you can't sell me on how tough the road to the Finals was in 09 when the toughest out was the Rockets with no Yao/T-Mac, and the erratic Nuggets. And the Suns the following year? Come on now....

You are right the 2010 Celtics were a better team. And the Lakers had just as much talent as Boston.

And we saw what Kobe could do with less....not get out of the first round.
