New York and Boston can be a little Jeckle and Hyde'-ish so maybe we can sneak a win there Rocket River
1-9 then.... Wed, Nov 10 vs Detroit -----Win Fri, Nov 12 vs Portland -----Win Sun, Nov 14 vs Phoenix -----Loss Mon, Nov 15 @ Memphis -----Loss Wed, Nov 17 @ Oklahoma City -----Win Sat, Nov 20 @ New York -----Loss Mon, Nov 22 @ Boston -----Win Wed, Nov 24 vs Chicago -----Loss Sat, Nov 27 vs Charlotte -----Win Mon, Nov 29 vs Oklahoma City --Win 7-13 And I have the Rockets as 13-16 thru December until they play teams like Nets and Bucks and others Finish December something like 15-20
The first 10 were super easy to predict. I predict at least 4 wins out of the next 10 and our first road win.
The Rockets are going to play above .500 the next 10 games!!??? holy hell. I know we had this conversation months ago. Then we get 1-9 at the start. I love your positivity
Our conversation was with Wall having Theis running that Gortat role. Winning 39 games. That changed to 25 wins without Wall. You can look it up. There in black and white postings. Strong strength of schedule vs top notch playoff teams in first 10 games. More winnable games while getting to play at home in this next stretch of 10 games. _____________ Role players play better at home......the Rockets are a team full of role players.....but yet adapted to the Lakers and only lost by two points on their court. Scored 70 points in Utah and was taking it to the #1 seed in the West last season. In Utah. The high altitude got to them and playing more games per week than they were accustomed to playing in years past. Utah took over. Lost to Denver in Denver which is always tough on seasoned vets. Lost by One point on their court. I heard they were good and playoff bound. Warriors have only lost one game, their court, second night of a back to back. Again our players of Sengun and Green are not use to the NBA schedule of so much travelling and so many games per week. Lost it in the end. Jackson Gatlin in his Locked on Rockets podcast covered how Wood is acting up possibly.. Did look involved in the first half of the Warriors game. Sending a message??? Jackson is right.....Wood could have dominated the Bigs of the Warriors. Draymond Green would even have trouble with the length of Wood. I believe Draymond had around 5 PF's near the end of the game. If Wood had tried in the first half.....Dray may have fouled out. ______________ Now the Rockets get to play some home games. Second crack at Boston. I feel the Rockets will play better the second go around vs teams as they did vs the Lakers. Still beat OkC even though it's on their court. Yule C. I anticipated the Rockets to lose most of those first 10 games without John Wall. Still projected the Rockets to win about25 games without Wall. You may be overlooking that key part of the sentence. Without Wall.
You're welcome. I'm here all season. If I'm wrong I'm wrong....but if I'm right, then acknowledge it and eat crow. I will do the same if I'm wrong ___________________ Detroit is Detroit.....game is a road game for them Portland has been jeckle and Hyde this early season. Road game for them. Boston is probably a little better than the first game we faced, but I see the Rockets much better. I don't have much faith in their new coach. They have issues. OKC with Dort.....have spacing problems that every team should take advantage of. Rockets did the first game....should win the next two vs OKC. Hornets are ok.....LaMelo plays well. Again in Houston. Flip'em game I'm giving to Houston. I'm not impressed with Charlotte.
So we’re 1-9 right? Logic says we’ll likely improve drastically from where we are right now. We’ll probably be 11-9 at the end of the next 10 games.
I think improving drastically is winning THREE games in the next 10 - tripling the win total from the last 10.
Funny thing ... I think alot of these predictions were made with the idea that WALL would be playing and the Team seems about the same without him Rocket River
For the most part, I remember the conversations. I thought if the Rockets were winning "too much" they would trade away their vets to start losing was my thesis along with them being extremely young as a team and would likely lose a LOT. Then they benched Wall before the season even started. The main goal is to develop the young players while seeing how they want to keep as the multitude of picks come in down the road. While getting another pick and likely front court player to pair with Green. Regardless I do not think the Rockets would win 39 games with Wall (they had the worst record with him last year) even if they were on pace as I said they would stop it with trades etc. also the have to go 24-47 now to get to 25 wins. I dunnnno
You and I disagree. I've said many times that Wall was about 75% healthy last season and was allowed to use last season as a rehab session. This year would come in about 85% healthy. No players 15 games in are 100% healthy. 3P%'s go from 60% in the first month down to 38% in most cases. Wall Ast% was above average dispute many on CF's saying he was a ball hog. Around 37%. I think with better weapons and actual roll men for the PnR action in the form of Sengun and Theis....Wall would have done just fine. Sengun/Theis blows Cousins, Patton, Spalding, DJ Wilson out of the water as far as PnR go. You and I will agree that we disagree
You forget that Wall doesn't like to hit roll men. He'll take the pick and pull up for a long 2. Did it all year last year.
