I might try Firefox again in a year or so, but as of now, it absolutely sucks. There are quiet a few things that I found it wasn't 'compatible' with and I had to uninstall it and go back to IE.

IE7, however, does rock, and it does have that 'phishing' alert thing...

Since there are "quiet a few things", can you name them? I'd like to test them out so I don't use them. Anything that is NOT compatible with a certain browser SUCKS ASS.

Whats wrong with IE7? Im interested in why its horrible. If its a convincing enough arguement, I'll uninstall it and revert back to IE6.

IE7 doesn't open some pages up properly as well. And furthermore, it never fixed a lot of the security issues of IE6. The same old crap can affect IE7 as it did IE6 with some slight modifications.

Also, what I hate about IE in general is that its just so bloated. There's so much extraneous garbage in there that isn't needed and there's so much unnecessary legacy code running in the background, that it unnecessarily taxes your RAM. (Although almost every microsoft product has this issue)

Put it this way, there's no reason not to have firefox. Its much more efficient, more user friendly, safer, is updated more regularly, and has cool extensions that IE doesn't have.

And don't switch back to IE6, as bad as IE7 is, nothing is worse than the trash they call IE6.

When anybody sends an email are starts asking for personal information, start getting suspicious no matter who its from. Check it out throughly before going forward with it. Just think of how screwed you would have been if you never had updated FireFox. People need to be more cautious when surfing the net.

Forgive me for sounding mean and all, but... really, people who DO click on links like the one on that email and give the information without knowing WHERE they're giving it out are just DUMB. I don't know how we don't have TESTS before people start using something.

tigermission1, you never answered my question. :( I am so lonely for an answer... ;)
In one sense, you're right. Fastest Browser Benchmarks by some effeminate dude on Twisted Tech TV confirms Opera ROCKS ASS. Torrent downloading is an extension of a browser... it's not a "browsing" feature, per se, because that's a file type. Generally, a browser only needs to display a WEB PAGE, not assist you in downloading other types of files. If they have an extension, so be it, but this is not the feature you want to have for, say, a business, a school, or a government instutition.

Mr. Brightside, how about STOP pressing the "," ??? :D

Seriously, though, it might be an extension or a theme. Mine doesn't do that... I even tried combining the ALT or Ctrl or Shift key to see if yours could be stuck. What version do you have (I have 1.5.)? Go to the HELP, search for "keyboard shortcuts" for assistance on that... let me upgrade to see if it happens in 2.x

do you not click on a link to make a payment for ebay thru your email?

that could easily be fake.. but i doubt many people repeatedly check if their mail is really coming from ebay or not..
