I've been trying to get 1.0 all day, but I can't get through. Anyone else having this problem?

I even tried the alternate link from this thread.

Wierd. I just got home and tried it and I had no problems.

I'll reboot or something when I get back to work.

So will the new install finally overwrite the old file, or should I still uninstall the old version?

In my limited experience with 1.0, what I'd suggest doing is just uninstall the old one and re-install the new one, but no need to remove your old profile. You can probably just re-install over the old one, but I haven't done that so far.

The only thing that I am having problems with is migrating plugins from an older profile to a new one. I have to deal with about 1000 firefox profiles at work, and uprgrading to 1.0 seamlessly might be a bit of a chore . . . (running 0.9.3 right now).

    Havent messed with extensions yet.

Installed the theme, "Littlefox", supposedly gives more room for viewing...or soemthing like that. I dunnno, its nice.

Be patient with the mozilla site. VERY slow.

    I love Firefox!:D

    I'm using:
    Theme: Orbit Grey
Extension: ieview, flashgot, all-in-one gesture, foxytunes

I can never use IE again because I would keep dragging my mouse. And tabbed-browsing is another major reason. THanks for the recommedations, guys. :D

Theme : default - nothing new is looks good enough, the Cute theme isn't available for 1.0 yet.

    Extensions:
IEview - for the few pages that are IE viewable only
Adblocker - for stuff that gets through admuncher
Flashgot - much easier batch downloading
Openbook - much better bookmark interface
Something Awful Last Read - Goons only ;)
Wish Super Drag'n Go was good for 1.0, so click and drag any hyperlink or highlighted web address will open in a new tab, but sadly, it's not updated yet.

Dunno if this will help you in place of drag n go: quick tab pref. toggle

It allows you to force hyperlinks that would have opened in new windows to open in new tabs. I think its great!
