Makes sense for Caseiro to want to keep Easterby around. No 1st and 2nd round picks and the team is stuck with a lot of bad contracts (Cobb, Mercilus, etc) They won't be good for 3 seasons IF things go well. Caseiro can throw Easterby under the bus after 2 more seasons of hot garbage and probably get a raise and an extension out of Cal at that time.
Storm Live right now: "Jacob Martin sat down with Easterby and talked to him about everything the the team had concerns about and apparently the teams/players feel better about things" he also said that the Easterby family had been receiving death threats as well(pretty shitty). They are saying the players are starting to feel comfortable with him being here the reason Martin sat down with him was because we was one of the few in town at the time i guess.
If only there was some type of way you could hold a meeting over computer or something. But glad he smoothed things over with a backup player who contract expires next year.
He along with Cal McNair should be meeting with Deshaun Watson, JJ Watt, and Andre Johnson. Don't tell us you texted them. Meet with them and address their and our concerns.
Dude doesn’t deserve death threats, but at this point with how he’s made the fans and players feel, if he was the kind of person he pretends to be he would have stepped aside he’s in it for the power
That's exactly what's going to happen. But I think right now Caserio thinks he and Easterby are friends. When things eventually go wrong the finger-pointing will start. Easterby's just using Caserio right now to keep his job with the Texans and won't think twice before stabbing him in the back. Cal is beyond stupid. He has made too many bad decisions: Fired Brian Gaine and Chris Olsen Approved the Hopkins trade Let O'Brien have 3 jobs: OC, Head coach, and GM Fired O'Brien after 4 games this season, which was too late Had to rely on an unqualified Jack Easterby to be interim GM because he fired the guys that had that experience Ignored the search committee recommendation to hire Caserio Still continues to keep Easterby employed to the ire of the fanbase and Texan players (past and present)..for what? We don't know. I'm sure I missed some things.
Franchise qb furious. Send him a text message. Good old Cal. Hope it didn’t interrupt his playing with tinker toys and eating applesauce hour.
Watson's relationship with McNair is irrelevant now. It is about Watson's relationship with Caserio now. How involved Watson is with the coach search.
U are clueless how the NFL works. Having no 1 or 2 this season suck, but it will not stop them from being competitive......if the right moves are made. They have all their future picks.........get a grip.
Exactly meet your franchise in person not a got damn text msg. Can Mark Cuban buy the Texans my goodness.
My fear is that Caserio is loyal to Easterby and Easterby will advocate trading Watson and all the players on the team that aren't a good "cultural fit" (i.e. not buying Easterby's BS). Cal will approve this because Easterby will sell him on a 3-4 with a year rebuild with a new coach/GM and they need the draft picks because they let O'Brien trade them away. If they traded Hopkins for nothing, don't think they won't do the same with Watson.
Hope you are right but didn’t you also say Easterby was irrelevant and nothing to worry about? No he didn’t. Guy wasn’t even on the field for more than half of the defensive snaps this year. Even if he did, this is like Easterby talking to Zach Fulton as if that is going to smooth things over. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MartJa02.htm
