Every pick looks like a big league player in some capacity. Mills floor is back up and ceiling is a good starter. Collins looks like he can be a legit starter and big body Jordan looks like a playmaker Wallow is a great athlete and made a ton of plays when inserted Lopez was one of the best run stuffing rookie DT in the league at one point and was a regular on the line. It’s been a while since mid round picks have panned out for Texans. That class was a win.
LOL. Sounds like a superfan to me, hoping that these mediocre guys pan out. In essence you are saying he really did nothing of note, I am just best case scenario with his picks. I wonder who else actually agrees with how you view this draft.
I'm not going to keep arguing with you about every aspect of my original point. If you don't think we're in a different situation than we were last season then that's on you, and there's not really much else to discuss.
I agree with his assessment of the draft, in fact- I made a very similar post a couple of weeks back. Caserio had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that his first draft pick was in the 3rd round in 2021. It’s still too early to say whether Mills’ will be a long term starter in this league… but it would be pretty naive to ignore the progress he made and to ignore the fact that he at a minimum, showed promise. As a Texan fan, thinking back to the Rick Smith days, there were many 3rd, 4th, and 5th round picks that were absolute MISSES. I think when you consider the lack of draft capital last year and the fact that every single player that was drafted at least got on the field and made plays, I’d deem that as a successful draft- considering the hand Caserio was dealt. Assuming a Deshaun trade- this next draft will tell us a lot more about Caserio, however.
Huh? Your post says you didn’t watch any part of a game and parroting every negative opinion you hear. How original
I was responding to someone that said Esterby probably wore a headset too. I don't know what Easterby does and neither do you The firing of Culley and the hiring if who they really wanted from the beginning happens in the corporate world all of the time. I would've thought you knew this, I guess not. Back at you, you sure seem to be full of yourself this evening. Good night.
I would say finding a starting QB at 67 and a starting wr are a little more than doing nothing. I guess you're stillll bitter about Kubiak getting fired.
Finding a starting level QB that played better than every QB in his draft class over the last month of the season. Finding guys like Collins and Lopez, guys that are fringe starters or at worst great depth players later in the draft. Same goes for Wallow and Jordan. Great depth guys,ST's guys. The fact that he did all of this without 1st,2nd Rd picks gives me hope that he will do really well with 4 picks in the top 80 in the upcoming draft. What don't you like about the last draft?
I don't know for sure. I'm hoping for McDaniels. Hiring a 65 yr old guy tell you Caserio hired a placeholder.
Methinks you are way overrating all of these guys I bet 3/4 of them will not in the NFL in 3 years, but hey we can dream. The caveats you have for Davis is astonishing and just because he sucked less than the other guys should not make him a starting level QB.
There are big league throws in that video. Big league legs, the ability to throw off platform. Only a handful of QBs in the league can make some of those arm only throws. Still don’t get why some of you dudes hate him so much. Is it because he’s not a sexual assailant?
Takes a lot more than a handful of big league throws to be an average NFL QB, not saying this guy can't, but it's way too early to be counting your chickens. The league is littered with QB's who make some big time throws. Mitch Trubisky says hello.
First, no the league isn’t. Second, no one is counting chickens, you’re saying he can’t be before he’s even given the chance. Some of those throws are elite, he’s earned the chance to see what he’s got
Usually the guy who they want to replace the guy with is already under terms and in the corporate world you don't hire a CEO just to place hold until you find the right guy. When a coach or a GM gets interviewed they usually have names of guys who they want to hire and the staffs they would also put in place, so Culley must have been on Casserio's short list or that means he is out here just free wheeling. I thought you knew was that no competent corporate person who is in charge of hiring upper level management is hiring a place holder for a position that effects his job and the same thing happens in the NFL, right now in a normal organization that is a huge red flag against the GM. Now maybe they end up getting a great coach but right now there is no Culley replacement so they out here just hoping the guy will be available to them. But hey keep your head in the clouds if that makes you feel better.
Takes a lot more than arm strength to make those throws. Also, Wentz doesn’t belong in same category as the other 4
