Because guns are awesome. The only thing wrong with guns is that I don't have enough of them.

I could totally get behind Sword Appreciation Day. In fact, I bought a machete today....for no reason other than I thought it was awesome. Besides, it was only like 8 bucks. I don't know it sells itself.

Pretty sure you can make this argument for absolutely anything.

Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Teachers Day (in some countries), heck your Birthday? Just throwing some examples of things that almost globally we have 'appreciation days'.

only civillians would think shooting guns as a stress relief. Every time i have my "gun" drawn out i'm usually sweating my balls off, havent taken a shower in weeks and am exhausted as hell and just want to chuck my gat in a lake.

LOL. I am not sure the point of this post but I can confirm the first point is incorrect. Not only "civillians" find it a great hobby.

no... usually when military service members in combat occupations draw out weapons they know life is going to suck for them.... usually means going to the field or deployment. The "fun" of handling weapons wears off in the first few months.

Firearms trade value right now is at an all time high. We need to package Firearms with Luis Scola and Kevin Martin for Dwight Howard.

    GIT R DONE MOREY!

I think firearms is a great hobby! You learn how to shoot & have great respect for the weapon, & learning how to use it safely! I teach my small kids how to handle firearms safely & not to point it at anyone. I don't want any "taboo" factors when it comes to guns! Now my kids have a lot of respect for them.:) I notice some people are scared of firearms & just want to bash folks who enjoys them. I guess they think they will shoot themselves or something, or the gun will shoot them! It's just a tool, like a wrench- & heck, you can also use a wrench as a weapon!

Does that include the toy gun under the dead guy's head in one of the post-raid photos from Bin Laden's former "mansion"?

Guns are cool, but the world would be far better off without them...
