Why hasn’t he been fired yet! Shows the owner just doesn’t care. Forget firing him, just move him into contract law where he belongs. If Stone is GM next year, I an gone.

I remember when we subjugated the development of our highest draft pick since Yao in favor of KPJ. He was out of the league 2 yrs later.

I also remember Stone offering Olidipo a 2-yr $45 mil contract extension, which he turned down. He was out of the league a year later.

I also remeber Stone trying to build around Christian Wood and was part of the reason we passed on Mobley. He was out of the league 2 yrs later.

I remember him having a bunch of first round draft flops who got cut and then giving away this year’s potential first pick in the draft (Nets unprotected picks). Oh the fond memories of this lawyer. Too bad he’s best friend of the owner. Found out today that he is the Fertitta family lawyer. No chance he gets fired, as this is a tight personal relationship.

Is he really the Fertitta family lawyer? Like is that an actual fact?

They needed to even the odds so it wouldn’t look so bad when they awarded their preferred team the next bonafied can’t miss (Wemby, Flagg).

    LOL.....

Imagine still crying about KPJ after all this time.... as if it actually matters at this point after building the roster from the literal ground up.

Imagine thinking Stone actually wanted to rebuild around WOW and that wasn't Tilman not wanting to have to rebuild after buying a Harden led team.

Stone has 100% made mistakes but some of y'all take petty and irrational to a whole new level.

Makes you think, Pelinka was prominent as Harden's former agent and an NCAA champion with Michigan in 1989.

Agreed. I don't care for Ime right now but this roster was too flawed to succeed. We have a lot of random parts that don't fit at all. It's shocking that we traded for KD then decided to go the entire season without a competent point guard. Rafael Stone might be good at some things but has failed an an NBA general manager. It's time to move on from Stone.

Yes, yes... but many praised this inept when he made the trade for Durant. Another aging prima donna who gives up in difficult times.

Stone really had a bad year. I know a LOT of people are unhappy with Udoka, and I get that, but I'm not sure he realistically could have done much better record wise given what he had to work with. Yes the offense was a disaster, yes there were a ton of BAD losses, but the roster was so poorly constructed I don't think they were realistically going to go much further than they did. The bench was just terrible. I'm not sure if Stone will be fired, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was, and it wouldn't bother me at all either.
