Over a year we have been asking for canning the coach and today Silas is still our coach. I used to think Lakers has the worst front office that they extended Rob MF Pelinka, but now it seems they have a long way to catch up the Rocket's FO.
Silas was just talking about practicing defense yet he made no defensive adjustments in the game. You have to counter within the game, you can’t just let a guy go off. And what’s the point of Hollins? The defense doesn’t look any better than last year and the culture is just as bad.
They are getting so much worse by the day and you can’t tolerate that even when you’re allegedly trying to lose. The bad habits they have developed are going to be hard for a team that’s so young to unlearn, and they aren’t going to just magically go away on their own. This team needs a change now before it gets any more damaged than it already is.
It’s really sad that this organization doesn’t care at all. Morons ruining the development of tgese kids for a 1/10 shot at a player. Yes, Silas sucks but don’t blam him for ownership doing zippo about it. Wish Les would’ve sold to Mattress Mack!!!
Silas has to go. The Anthony Edwards dunk should get him fired. Jalen Green is 20 years old with all the talent in the world and doesn't care about defense. He could be great at defense if he had a coach that held him accountable. The fact that Silas can't even get him to engage in defense is a firable offense, imo.
If Silas is still the coach and we win the Wemby or Scoot sweepstakes, any smart advisor is going to recommend they demand a trade or play in Europe rather than come to the Rockets. The desperation will be evident and we won't even get a Vlade Divac in a trade. If I were an an agent looking at landing places for free agents, I would not look at Houston if Silas is the coach. I cannot believe the people who run this organization can't see this. Wait, yes I can. (If Wemby refuses to come here and we don't trade him, the Rockets will be the NBA's teama non grata and the ref's target every game. Also, the NBA will come down on any hint of tanking from then on. There will be a baseline expectation from teams that is not there now.)

At this point, I hope they are just using Silas to get them the record that get's them the top pick. But as you state, they have to give the draft and FA hope. I'd say they fire Silas with a week left in the season, Put Lucas in as interim which should give a few meaningless Ws to end the season and give prospects that the problem was the coach. Now while I believe that Silas is a part of the L puzzle, it's not the only piece. But you have to start there
This latest stuff about Sengun is really the final straw. I even doubt Silas basketball knowledge and general IQ. What a ****ing moron!
Use Silas to lose a high percentage of the next 10 games and then can this b****. Interim coach Lucas for rest of season.
Wow! He really does not like Sengun! Sengun is one the most unselfish player on this team. His boy, KPJ hogs the ball...he sucks.
