I'm pretty sure there are 12 year olds in AAU that think Silas is too soft of a coach. His lack of fire and inability to hold anyone accountable is stifling the growth of this team. Take the kid gloves off and start treating these guys like the grown ass professionals they are. **** this weak ****.
Abdelfattah would stop a lot of this nonsense if Stone would keep his nose out of it. Hollins would break his foot in KPJ’s ass on the daily.
I thought this is the reason the Rockets brought them in. Why isn't their teaching showing through? Is this respect for the Head coaching so they aren't providing insight. It's weird.
“[T]rying to play perfect.” LMFAO really? I can’t even count the number of ***** given by the Rocket players on the court.
Tough minded assistant coaches can be brought in, but it still requires the head coach to buy in. Not to mention, what consequences have any of these players had? They know at the end of the day Silas will play who he wants regardless of performance. Also to be clear, I don’t expect crisp and great execution from this group. What I do expect is some degree of improvement in execution, I expect when a player messes up to be held accountable and I expect some improvement in the head coach when it comes to rotations and utilizing his players. I see little of any of this.
The Silas thing is hard because I really do believe he is a very good man. The stories he tells about talking to his dad are so genuine and you can feel the love. I like the man - but he hasn’t shown much as a head coach. He better be hoping for a lucky lottery bounce to being in Wembanya or Scoot Henderson….. if he brings in Henderson to play the point, both Stone and Silas can cover up the KPJ debacle and let Henderson run the show.
Silas is only 49 and he is a rookie coach, well 2nd year head coach. He will blossom into a good coach some day. Give him time to learn. In 5-6 years tops he is probably running a smooth offense. Les go!!!!
You see it with a few players. Green and Sengun are navigating this mess very well. I'm proud of those two the most on this team.
You gotta coach them up or coach them out. Enforce team standards and non negotiatiables. It's a privilege to be in this league. I hear KPJ and Jalen Green talking possibly being the best backcourt in the league... cmon why even allow them to entertain that conversation with the media at this stage of their career. Can't even stay in games consistently let alone close games out.
Lol someone's gone and created a petition on Change https://www.change.org/p/fire-rockets-head-coach-stephen-silas?
This is NBA or AAU? I thought best pro league in the world should have best players and coaches in the world, not only „projects”
This is the same organization (cheapman, stone, and patrick) that had the choice between ty lue, jvg and silas and managed to pick the one moron out of the 3
Silas is doing a good job….improving every year: 20 losses in a row year one 1-16 year two 2-12 year three That’s improvement folks….leave this nice man alone!!!
Can you imagine a proven champion and one of the premiere coaches in the league in Tyronn Lue blessing these young men with his wisdom? Harden wanted Ty Lue btw. Greatness recognizes greatness @Salvy
