I am all in favor of firing Silas. However, that is not because of our record. People expect to much from a young team. You know what the record of OKC was in 2008-2009 on the 16th of December 2-24.... And that was with 3 top 5 picks from the previous 2 years.... People should not be so hard on our players. That being said, there are some clear problems in how we play.
Problems in how we play but don't to forget to add; discipline, rotation choices, timeout calling, and in game adjustments.
I don't normally post on the Rockets board but I am a huge Rockets fan. I've been following them since growing up in the Clutch City days of the 90s. I'm just wondering what y'all are thinking of expectations this year? Is anything short of making the play-in berth considered a failure for this year? How many years should Silas be given before you decide it is time to move on?
Expectations: 1. Trade EG by deadline 2. Intervene with KPJ's style of play 3. Build as much chemistry with Jabari and rest of the team The team will not make the play-in this year. This is the final year for Silas
Dude was a 23 ppg Clipper, a 6th man of the year and 18 ppg under MDA, everyone around the league knows about his shooting and okay D. Rofl. If he is an expiring contract, even better.
Silas will not be fired for losing Silas system obviously creates open looks when players arnt throwing the ball out of bounds or dribbling off their own foot Tilman wants a top pick this year - he’s said it twice that I’ve seen during pregame interviews - Silas job is competitive loses and development of young players He’s checking all boxes as frustrating as it may be to some
Maybe they diminish Sengun because they know they will get #1 and Wemby, we all know league is rigged. We still didnt get #1 for trading prime Harden to New York
He doesn't have a feel of the game. We made a huge comeback and made a lead of garuba, eason, martin, nix and green. So what does he do? he sends in his golden child kpj who single handily lost us a game via turnovers/stupid decisions. I don't know if he's doing it intentionally but he's good at losing and tanking i guess. My biggest issue with him aside from his weird ass love for kpj, is that he really is doing a disservice in the development of Smith.
The last 2 games, the Rockets had great team stats by leading in Rebounds and/or in Assists. The turnovers killed us against New Orleans, but that should be 2 straight win. Either we are trying to lose, or Silas can't finish.
Doesn't matter because athletes are competitive wanting to win, that's the nature otherwise they failed.
The Rockets are absolutely crushing it in Offensive rebounding however defensive rebounding is not that good. It has been night and day.
2 years of coaching a brilliant mind of an european MVP and this lazy moron still cant teach him not to foul out in less than 20 minutes? FIRE HIM RIGHT NOW!
Clearly team wants to lose. Either we drafted the wrong guys or don't have the right coaching. Easier to replace the coach.
