I think everyone should just chill out for a second. This is an online forum, not life and death. London made an extra thread, which was bad, and you guys let him know it, which was good, but the horse is already in the glue factory. Jackie, no disrespect intended, but "drama queen?" What do you expect someone to do when you lay on the personal stuff like that? This is an online free forum, don't be acting like you own the place. If London screwed up (which he did), report it to a mod or something, if they decide to lock the thread, end of story. We don't need any forum vigilantes, cuz you just wind up sounding like a reverse troll. Again, not hating on you man, just saying. And London, you gotta know when to let things go man.

    Peace

YAO? It was Steve that drove me crazy. Took three bad shots without bothering to set up the offense and get the ball to Yao who had just hit 3 shots. It seemed like he was single-handedly trying to lose the game for us. He gets the ball to Yao on those possessions and the game would most likely not have been as close as it turned out.

I was kind of carcastic, but no one catches me on that. Anyway, that's what JVG said about Cat Mobley:

"You have to play freely, but you also have to play intelligently," Van Gundy said. "If Yao (posts up) after scoring four or five times in a row and you pass him up, that's not smart play."

Drama queen because when people get criticized and then say they will not post again because of that, that is what I think they are.

That being said, you are right, it is not life and death, so perhaps I was a little harsh.

Is Mobley willing to defer to Yao?

actually London'sburning look thru all my posts, every one of them, i actually dare you, aside from stupidity that will kill you i bet there is no reactionary white line fever criticisms from me.

sure analyze players, their good pts their problem areas, their areas that need improvement, but why the need to over-react in the heat of the game, nothing gets acheived by that.

i just love basketball, any level, NBA, NBL, junior kids basketball and in all of those levels, i still love it no matter whether the teams i support win or lose or shoot 20% or turn the ball over 50 times in a game, in fact i love watching ball so much i just love watching it no matter who is playing.

remember how you play when you are perfect is not important, it's how you play the game when you aren't perfect, because nobody ever ever plays perfect.

btw i couldn't give a toss whether you post/thread was in the right place or not, my point is your post/thread is a complete waste of time wherever it is, can we come watch you work or study and when you make a mistake we can call for you to get fired... it acheives nothing!!!!

That's right, Smeg. Cut Mobley now, then hang him, then spank him, then send him to bed without any supper.

And then make him stand in the corner. This crap has GOT to stop.

Someone go get me a switch!!!

Yeah and what's even more hilarious, is that we have another thread naming Mobley as Defender of the Year candidate...

I say we keep Mobley and every other Rocket on the team right now...

:p Dude, did you watch the game? Who do you think scored 15 points in that 4th quarter to overcome the dificit? Rockets were down 6, scores 71 to 77 in favor of the Warriors. Yao scored 3 straight baskets to tie the game. Yao made couple crucial freethrows to keep the Rockets ahead. When the score was at 84 to 83, Rockets up 1, was because of Yao made those freethrows. What Yao missed was the next two freethrows which could have increased the Rockets' lead to 3. But still at that point the Rockets were in charge. Then of course, Cato got fouled, made 1 out of 2 freebies to put the Rockets from 84 to 85. That was Cato's contribution. But should it matters? The Warriors missed the final shot so game was over. Whether it was 84 or 85, the Rockets won.

The only scary moment for the Rockets fan as I say it again was Mobley's stupid foul with around 10 seconds left, which put Dampier to the line to shoot a pair which he missed.

Now, you owe me a beer! I explained the game to your dumb arse!:D

    nope, you sure wont.
I have never advocated trading a player from the team I love, ever.
I have also never allowed my frustrations with losing to overrule my good sense..If Im that frustrated, I stay away from this board

there is a reason why everyone that knows my posts knows that I am the biggest Rockets homer EVER.
Most people around here dont take my posts seriously because they know I am a homer, and as you know, being a homer is the worst thing you can be besides being a YO fan..

    but I dont care.

    ouch.

i can see where london's coming from. thread title is a little misleading though.

mobes has been in the league long enough to know how to milk the player that's shooting the lights out, that has the highest percentage of making a shot, or to make a pass to somebody that has a better chance of getting somebody else a higher percentage shot. all i saw from mobley in the closing minutes was somebody trying to be a hero. he lucked out by fouling dampier (i'm sure it wasn't intentional). it's completely fine for the guy to make mistakes, but if you fail to learn from them and make the same ones over and over and over (in crunch time)... well... it gets kinda old.

it's almost like mobes is the only player on the roster who hasn't learned the word "sacrafice" yet. sure everybody's happy with him win the team wins the game or when he's on fire on a particular night, but the little things that he does are going to catch up with the team sooner or later during the season... whether it's fouling while in the penalty, bricking a shot that wasn't in the flow of the offense, or even making a shot that wasn't in the flow of the offense. it just disrupts the good things that everybody else does on the court.

he, just like everybody else, is still learning though. it just seems like he's learning at a very, very, very, very slower rate.
