Yes, very predictable: - Muslims murder cartoonists - Some Muslim organizations denounce the act (lip service), although they pursued the same goal (silencing the cartoonists because they allegedly "disrespected" their ideology/prophet) - Some Muslims see themselves as victims (as always) because of potential backlash - No Muslims angrily flock to the streets as they did when the cartoons came out - The Left warns of "Islamophobia" and says "this has nothing to do with Islam" (the German vice chancellor literally said this in a press conference today) and warns of right-wing extremism
I've believed it would happen and still think it will and feel it will be end up being some kind of monument. I keep thinking France more than anywhere else is most likely.
The result of such an attack will be Western countries denying immigrants from Islamic countries and Islamists in general. Its non-violent and addresses the issue (Islamists have trouble assimilating to the rest of the world).
Surely France has their own secret version of Gitmo. I'm convinced every country has their own. We all know what the taxpayers want. Give them vengeance.

Their religion pretty much forces you to try to convert everyone on Earth to following Islamic teachings. Couple that with radical Imams in the Middle East that use religion to brainwash these morons into not really caring about their living conditions and you've got a whole flock of sheep completely fine with living in a ****hole as long as they are closer to their god. Extremist (relative) Christians here do their part by trying to destroy the educational system and enforce their lifestyle choices and flood kids mind with their bull****. Islamic terrorists want to make this a West vs Islam thing. If they can make the West see Islam itself as the problem, they will suddenly gain a billion supporters. And they seem to be having some success here, polarizing the West with terror. Things will get a lot harder for us if we make this a clash of civilizations.
Muslims have an excellent two pronged approach to shoot down religious criticism. Political correctness to avoid "racism" and actual physical retaliation. The media is terrified of either being fired/condemned or actually murdered.
Add a point: people call for reprisals and "killing all terrorists", which has been the rule of thumb for the last 12 years or so, and has worked splendidly well. and now that people are making it abundantly clear in this thread that they see Islam as the issue, and that the destruction of Islam as we know it is inevitable, I wonder what next points they are considering to break this cycle
Absolutely. They want to make the western society more hostile to those they wish to recruit. By creating more racism, they will be able to turn more muslims to their crazy ideas. They are all for extreme right-wing parties gaining votes. They want total war.

Basically that is it. You can add in increased tension from moderate Christians and agnostics, which ultimately results in not a damn thing.
So apparently they identified 3 suspects. Two of which came back from Syria this summer. This is exactly what I was talking about with some friends a couple of months back. All these kids that are going to Syria are coming back FREELY to Europe and are going to blow themselves up and do nothing good.
historically all "religions" have done some absolutely god awful acts. the difference with islam is that while other religions seemed to have evolved with the rest of the world, islam seems intent on devolving. also, islam has a major principle that acknowledges/respects other monotheistic religions that came before them, but islam is the last religion that will ever be since Mohamed was the last messenger and the Quran the last message. that makes it very dangerous for non-believers.
