Thanks guys...I didn't report him. I know I have made some pretty acidic remarks over the years in this forum in the heat of the moment, so I didn't get very worked up about it. I guess I have to be able to take some heat when I dish it out.
Back in 1982, when my significant other and I were in Amsterdam, we became friends with a young German couple, hanging out with them for several days. They wanted to see the Anne Frank house, and although we had been there before, we were glad to go again. When they walked out, both were in tears. It moved both of us, and I've never looked at Germans quite the same way since that day. So I get pissed off when post-WWII Germans are lumped in with the horrors of the Hitler regime. They don't deserve it.

May not be worse, but I'm sure the many you've called terrorists or sympathizing with them haven't really enjoyed it. If this was my site, I'd have banned da1 for that comment too. But he wouldn't have been the first.
It wasn't one comment. it was a series of aggressive, angry comments directed towards anyone on an open discourse about islam. he has thrown personal attacks at me. i guess he thinks he's standing up for the religion, but he's really keeping it in the dark ages by preventing discussion. this is just something people new to the civilized world don't understand and in this case, the time off allows him to grow as a person with something to give society. amazing how positives come from consequences. And yeah---I did report him.
Find one quote where I have called someone a terrorist. If you cannot find one, I expect your apology. Did I call people idiots or morons? Yeah. Terrorists? No. Terrorist sympathizer? Maybe - but then it would have been warranted by something they actually posted. And just because you and your idol Major get owned every time you try to get into it with me, you would love to see me banned - just like glynch. He even started a thread about it.

Interesting. Please point out posts that are equally as bad as da1 post and the user was not banned. I think the mods here are very fair but am willing to be open minded to proof.

I understand... My parents lived in Germany in the early 70's and they loved it there. But I think da1 compared him to a specific group of Germans and not Germans as a whole though. But stereotyping people is never good but we tend to do it here all the time. What's the difference...??? Insults are insults and who are you to put stipulations on which insults are worst than others and how people should take them. You also instigate the situation with insults like that. I wish the mediator would start a thread on which insults are ok and which ones are not. I'm for no insults towards other posters at all personally. Huge difference.. context is everything. Islam is causing deaths of thousands of people, with major incidents each week. so when someone, i.e. da1, aggressively attacks people who objectively look at the religion, it is a tremendous cause for concern. whereas atw is more as SNL material.. there is no purpose to strike fear in the hearts of people he talks to. i.e., fear for their lives. just push them into validating their views.
You encouraged arson against a group of people who themselves were innocent.....just because they were muslim----"A taste of their own medicine" when a mosque was lit on fire. It was one of the few D&D threads I've ever seen locked. da1 was out of line, but don't pretend you're all dandy when I have yet to see someone with worse takes in the D&D.
