Some of you deserve to be living in New Orleans. You greedy "notin-can-satisfy-me" deserve nothing but Hornets.

Wishing for the Rockets to play up to their ability is hardly "notin-can-satisfy."

T-Mac was on 610 this morning. Once again he said that the biggest difference between when the Rockets were losing and now is that he has "gone back to what I've always done, offensively." He also gave props to the "white boy squad," but that came after his reiterating what he said on Rome.

Fire JVG and hire Rudy, otherwise Rockets is hopeless.

JVG doesn't have fine strategies. He is a shepherd not a coach, at least not a good coach.

You folks in Florida should learn how to vote first before tackling complex things like "coaching" discourse.

What exactly did you earn on your "coaching" SAT's?

Exactly. Which is not to defer to Yao so much which he says he did at the beginning. Thats it. Thats all he's talking about there. And he makes the point that that was what he was doing when he was struggling, do you not freaking hear him say that too? JVG had nothing to do with Mcgrady at the begininng of the year defering to Yao Ming and hesitating to shoot and wanting to be too unselfish. I really hate to say this to you because I know it will go in one ear and out the other, but away from the ball there is the same movement and the same motion and all that that was going on when the Rockets were scoring 89.7 points a game. If you cant see that Sura, Wesley, Barry, Strickland, Padgett, and the new Mcgrady(who was never leashed by the coach and was leashed by his own self from his desire to play unselfish and defer to Yao and his teammates) can execute so much more effieciently and smoothly and heavenly than the fivesome of Lue, Ward, Jackson, Nachbar, and Taylor then you can't see the spectacular shining sun rise after 8 straight weeks of mist and fog.

take a quote from the great jvg which is 'the greatest right we have is to change our mind' and really think about that especially when you are so wrong...about everything.

JVG is all business. He's not compelling in the way Rudy was. Less personality. But I have a certain admiration for him in the same way I have an admiration for the Patriots head coach. He's just all business. Very professional.

We should ask the same of you and Rockets03 since you are so smart in all that is the NBA...

And can somebody tell me why the hype of Phil Jackson? I"m sure he is a nice guy and a fine coach but the fact of the matter is that he just got damn lucky three times. First with Tex Winters giving him the triangle offense, second with a guy named Michael Jordan and third by falling into the Lakers job with Shaq and Kobe. Ironcically this is much the same was that Rudy T fell into luck in the Houston coaching job with Hakeem.

this thread is like a trainwreck, I keep coming in to look at the damage when I knew i shouldnt have. i even promised I would never post here again.

if you think JVG is gonna be fired and Rudy brought back in, you are a very naive basketball fan.

    that is all.

it was the same in NY when everyone started shouting "Larry Brown" as soon as Lenny was kicked.

Larry Brown isnt going anywhere, JVG isnt going anywhere, and rudy T and Phil Jackson are unemployed as far as I see it.

    and I LOVE IT!!!

    go ROCKETS 2004-2005
take me to the second round JVG!

Like he couldn't have pretty much any job in the NBA just by asking for it. "Lucky" doesn't win titles, particularly nine of them.

I think JVG should offer his services back to his beloved Knicks.

again, who can we get to coach the Rockets that's better than JVG?

-Phil Jackson - not likely and not happening this year. we're not on the radar and doubt we ever will be. knicks and lakers seem to be front-runners.

-Rudy T. - Not likely to coach in the NBA again. He said he's done and after two coaching stints that ended due to health problems. Not likely.

Can someone that wants JVG fired, please give some realistic options for coaches?

hey edc, its time to go back to the drawing board.

we are 13-11 on the road, 6-1 in our last seven away from home.

we own the best division record in the toughest division in basketball at 7-3, spurs are 5-3, mavs are 6-4....

youre losing credibility with every post you make and every game the Rockets win:p

    (1) "We?" What "we" are you referring to. Fans are great, but they do not get a paycheck from Les Alexander, have no major part (beyond the dollars they give to Le$), and are not part of the organization.

    (2) What drawing board? Do you not believe Van Gundy would prefer to be in New York? Does New York need a head coach right now? Do the fans of New York want him back?

    (3) JVG gets his props. The Rockets have been winning late in games. They should not be letting teams back into those games, but they are winning them. That doesn't necessarily mean they've turned a corner, and their age may well catch up with them, but he gets props for not losing those close games.

    bi-weekly bump by me...

Still agree with the thread title. A few faster paced, skin of the teeth wins does not a great coach make.
