I don't think JVG is the right coach for this team....but Rick Adelman's contract is up next year...and he would be PERFECT for it.

all we need is a offensive asst. coach who JVG could work with...thats all , since we have the defense

JVG can't coach offense = MYTH

An offense works so much better when guys are actually hitting shots. Most offenses don't work too well when they're not.

I think JVG uses the ol' "tear them down, then build them back up again" philosophy. Like Gene Hackman in Hoosiers. ;) Watching the game last night makes me think that he's starting the "building up" phase right about now. Just like he did at this time last year.

It's like he makes sure everyone understands the system, then slowly starts to loosen the reigns. His taking the team to Vegas before Sunday's game is a good sign.

Just wait, guys. I'm tellling you we will have home court in the 1st round. See my signature.

it gives me great pleasure to know the Rockets can only improve from here, and that JVG will continue to succeed....

There is no way this group of players can fit Adelman's style, if we are talking about the King's style, or the 90's Blazers' style, particularly Yao.

You made a good point about JVG tearing his players down and then rebuilding them. I mean even T-Mac looked like a scrub when he 1st joined the Rockets.

Adelman probably won't last the season. Some of Petrie's recent comments I read make that obvious. Some say the Kings players have stopped listening to him and he's run his course in Sactown. IMO, the game has just about passed Adelman by. Reminds me of what happened to Rudy. If Adelman catches on with another team next year, he'll last a year or two and be fired again. He should hang it up after this year.

You think it was because JVG's "tearing him down" that TMac is this good? TMac is this good because JVG realized that TMac shouldn't be reigned in and decided to free him. Why would you tear a player down if he is already good?

JVG is a horrible fit for finesse stars. Only JVG would fail to use our stars as they are and try to force them into his tortured vise. His vise will never make them great, it will only crush them. He is deluded in his thinking and will never change. He has horns and a pointy tail and cloven hooves. He is a corrupter, not a nuturer. He does not know things as they are, he only wants to change them to what they will never be.

    Plato must die.

LOL... come on guys! Just because Tmac comes back, the Rockets start winning and scoring in the 100s isnt a reason to stop your bandwagon!

Maybe you guys aren't so dumb afterall and learned from your mistake last year. :)

They still play ugly basketball. Still don't have any offense flow and reply too much on T-Mac's greatness.

I want to see the improvement from last year. So what it is none.

Our offense looks so stale. no creativity. bring yao to the high post and use his passing skills. plus our movement off the ball is horrid. beating a really bad team like the blazers dosent equate to much. if we beat the warriors and the sonics, them improvement is certianly made.

Please post this in Jan/Feb okay? Good lord, the team is still trying to gel and are missing 3 significant pieces of the team. Yao sucked, Luther was off, juwon was sub-par, and we still won by a good margin. But hey, hate all you want.

Edit: BTW, I say Yao sucked, but he played decent D when he was in there. It shouldn't be overlooked in our victory.

I think it would be wiser if you reserved your judgment until we get a point guard (Alston, Sura or free agency) and after they play some more games together (chemistry)
