Really cute. The Rockets are going south and old, past their prime players are the reason, plus an overly conservative coaching style. I have probably been a Rocket's fan longer than you have been alive. I love the team, but changes must be made now. TMac cannot continue to carry this team. He has far too little help. Do you really think Ryan Bowen is the answer at SF? Is Howard really the answer at PF? David Wesley at PG? Are you kidding me? Check out the record when they return to Houston. I'll see if you have some cute comments then.

Definitely JVG's fault. Sure, he had the same problem in Memphis, but look at the crap coaches he had there. Oh wait ....

It's not Van Gundys fault, unless he's the one missing wide open J's.

It is Mr. Van Gundy's fault, for signing old guards with no legs (that were at best mediocre in their prime), and expecting them to shoot J's.

I would say JVG may be gone if the Rockets come back from the 6 game roadtrip winless. But I expect the Rockets to put together a nice streak and win 4 or 5 of the next 6. I think they will beat SAC, POR, SEA and Lakers and either GSW or Clippers.

I do think JVG is coaching to prep the team for the playoffs even though this means watching them play is like having teeth pulled. On the other hand, the Suns are coached from an "entertain the fan first" philosophy. Only the Pistons and the Spurs have achieved the perfect balance.

"Watching them play".....Reminds me of constipation.

Your entertain-playoffs balance is an interesting insight.

Why do you do this to yourself?

When the Rockets start winning again and everyone is talking championship by late January, you guys won't be able to enjoy the ride.

Yeah like the fresh legs of Tyrone Lue, the Polish Rifleman and Adrian Griffen were really winning it for us early last year. And those young legs of Francis and Mobley really got us to the playoffs the previous four years....lol

I bet most you negative nancies in this thread vote democrat too don't ya. All this complaining and chants of "Fire Gundy" are so easy to do.....what I don't see is anybody offering up solutions to fix the problem. I'm not saying that JVG is the second coming of Red Aubach but given the quality of players Red had and the quality of players that JVG has had I'm not really sure you can make a fair comparison.

A lot of the posters in this thread were the same ones praising the team in the offseason for picking up DA and Swift and bashing them for picking Luther Head in the draft. Well we see how knowledgable and insightful you really were now don't we... Crazy $hit man......crazy

It's funny how people choose sides. Let’s call them Type I and Type II. Type I never bucks the system, always follows the rules, they conform to their surroundings, and laugh at their bosses corny jokes. They would follow the leader even over a cliff.

Type II people question everything. They are leaders in many cases. Some might call them Rebels, or nonconformists. Where ever you fall on the spectrum from I to II the bottom line is can the Rockets win. Is JVG's coaching philosophy capable of winning the ultimate goal: an NBA title? I hope so, but if the team keeps losing his system may never get the chance to prove it can win a title.

Tim Breaux thinks you guys should lighten up...find a nice, quiet place to sit down and relax...roll you up some vegetables...put yo feet up...and enjoy the game.

It's gonna be all right...no need to bunch up yall's panties and such.
