And this board would have been a better place if you had just kept your post count below 80. Woulda shoulda...
It takes whole season to develop? What kind of nonsense is that ? lol....hey, so it should also take whole season for the players to devlop in it with that reasoning. SOOOOOOOOOOO....mAybe Alston is half developed and Stro, and......and the knicks will win the east..next year !!!!!!
p.s. The TRADE was one of the best in rockets history, TMac for lil stevie. and even MORE props for CD now.....
LOL @ the Phoenix game. Our genius coach thinks that our team "lacks passion"? Whose ****ing fault is that? Isn't it the coaches responsibility to motivate the players? But how can his morbid ass motivate anyone is beyond me. Win or lose that idiot has the same negative things to say. The Suns game alone is reason enough to fire the guy. We have a fully healthy team for about 10 games now. Should be clicking. Instead Suns have double upd on us (we are losing by almost 35 points at halftime!!!!!!!). Did I mention they dont even have Amare? Oh wait, Van Dummy did try to motivate us while we are getting whooped by bringing in the great Ryan Bowen. That sure gave us the offensive jolt we need. And Yao and Tmac were on the bench together. Brilliant. I was never excited about winning 7 out of 8 or whatever. We have beaten crap teams. The two decent teams we played (Lakers and Suns) blew us out of the water. I dont know how anyone can think we are a playoff team, or how our stupid ass coach can lead us anywhere. Fire Gundy and I swear to God I'll buy him a plane ticket to NY or preferablly HELL!
JVG playing Bowen in the first half over Hayes is so ridiculously stupid, I am now not opposed to him being gone.
JVG is always quoted saying he wants to push the ball, but on a team with Yao, does this really make any sense? Yao has 0 points and 0 rebounds in the first half. As the announcers observed, Yao is too slow for this type of game. Phoenix always seems to have our number. Hopefully, if we ever met in the playoffs, the game would slow down, so Yao could catch up. If the criticism that JVG bogs down the offense is true, then he is the perfect coach for Yao, because we need to run a half-court game if Yao is our centerpiece.
Rudy use to say that "if he had to motivate his players then he has the wrong guys in the locker room"...
I'm just saying, it isn't always a coaches job to get the players motivated, the players have that responsibility too.
great point. My problem with JVG is that he plays players that shouldn't be on the floor. It's his decisions that bother me sometimes. If Howard or Swift is not dealt by the deadline, that would be depressing to me.
Agreed, his Bowen over Hayes decision is quite a head scratcher. Hell, bowen over pretty much anyone else on our team is...well, unusual.
We are rolling! Thats what I am talking about! Lets get him a ticket to NYC! Did you see how Rockets03 totally disregarded Rudy T's message about motivating players? When Rudy T. said that and we sucked, people were clapping and cheering at that! YEA! Its the overpaid athletes that need to get themselves motivated. But wait! This is now JVG! The New Yorker who doesn't smile and drink beer win, lose or draw! So, it doesn't apply anymore. And lets not forget that not even in his early 40s, he hasn't won any rings yet either. I LOVE IT! Glad to be his lapdog. We NYC'ers have to stick together! Hey! Don't you have to wonder, how good is Phoenix really is, though? First things first. I am still thinking about how good the Clippers are and how that win really didn't prove anything but this loss does. See you on Tuesday. My brain works slow.
