I don't like Larry Brown but o man i wish we had Flip Saunders on this team. Yeah the pistons would suck a** with JVG.

Nice Post! I know many on this board are loyal fans of the Rockets and many feel a similar loyalty to JVG. It's all part of human nature. We make a mistake and we stay with it because turning back would be admitting we made a mistake. It's called an escalation of commitment (see definition below). JVG is the wrong coach for this team and yes he did build this team, so if there's blame to be placed on anybody its JVG.

Escalation of commitment is the phenomenon where people increase their investment in a decision despite new evidence suggesting that the decision was probably wrong. Such investment may include money (known informally as "throwing good money after bad"), time, or — in the case of military strategy — human lives. The term is also used to describe poor decision-making in business, government, information systems in general, software project management in particular, politics, and gambling.

Escalation of commitment was recognized by Barry M. Staw in his 1976 paper, "Knee deep in the big muddy: A study of escalating commitment to a chosen course of action".

Everybody thinks the Rockets are on a roll. This is the perfect opportunity for Van Gundy to dissapoint us.

Why the hell is Bowen in the game?

That is one reason to definitely fire Gundy. His love affair with Bowen is totally inexplicable.

Why the hell isn't JB activated?

That is another reason to definitely fire Gundy.

We might be on a four game winning streak, but this team still sucks thanks to our coach. We have freaking 33 points at haltime! A team that feature Tmac and Yao!

No...curse Van Dummy for playing Ryan Bowen, for not playing Chuck Hayes, for constantly failing as an offensive unit with such players as Tmac and Yao.

This should be the last season for JVG as the Rockets Head Coach.
Keep him on to be the Defensive Coach and get Mario Ellie to be the
Offensive Coach. This last game reminded me a little of Game 7 V Dallas

I always liked Gundy. Till tonight. I'm on board now. He kept Barry out and didn't play Hayes. PJ outcoached him big time.

Sitting on the bench watching Devean George snare offensive rebound after offensive rebound.

What did we need to do to slow the Lakers down? Shut down their offensive rebounding. CHUCK HAYES!

What did we need to do when either Tmac or Yao was either sitting or not hitting? Hit a 3P. Who can do that? JON BARRY!

What do we get? Rybo. The least effective Rocket according to 82games.com.

One problem with obsessive/compulsive people like JVG is they ignore reality.

Really really really tired of his act.

We are not that far away from becoming an effective team

One thing is clear to me: Swift had better be traded soon, cause if he is not then why the hell is JVG playing him so much? Is JVG actually playing him over Chucky Hayes cause he's going to help us more??? If Swift is not being showcased, and just getting Chucky's minutes, then he is even a bigger idiot than I thought.............Also, why the hell is John Barry not playing either???? Lets see here, our weakness the last 2 games: Rebounding and outside shooting.......so Hayes AND Barry both warm the bench.........WOW, just WOW......how bad can a coach get?

One more fact, We must be the most boring losing team to watch in the last 50 years!!! Seriously, I cant think of a sucky, sorry, pathetic team, that would have had a record of 19-30 that would be THIS boring to watch........I bet even the pathetic Hawks were more fun to watch last year than the Rockets......and this is with TMAC and Yao.......

im not sure where this team will go with JVG. but i sure am tired of his offensive production with his teams. its just more fun to watch people make shots. there has to be some kind of balence. not what we have here and not what dallas has had the last few years.

just something in the middle somewhere. :(
