Ok. I'm going to stop responding to this now.

    Go Astros.

Why? Because our opinions differ? You seem to base your opinion on this fantasy that the pitchers all wanted to pitch to Maldy more than Diaz. It’s not rooted in anything tangible. It was an excuse for Dusty apologists, and it was the only one they could reach for. It was definitely a reach.

Also, Diaz was completely held back from catching our TOR guys that entire season. They were never allowed to pitch to Diaz. Diaz still had a better catcher ERA than Maldy.

It was Dusty being stubborn, and I would bet it goes back to the Myles Straw trade. That makes 1000% more sense than “pitchers liked him better”, even though they never threw to Diaz even once.

Diaz should’ve had plenty of starts with the TOR and been ready to start every game in the playoffs. Yainer’s OPS was north of .900. It’s folklore that Maldy had some secret power that never showed up in the stats offensively, defensively, or in catcher ERA that made him the more effective starter.

The Maldy mystique was just Dusty’s stubbornness and nothing at all more than that.

And it most likely cost us that Ranger series.

This is probably the most ridiculous thing I've heard. Who is "we"?

Again, if you're an Astros fan contribute to the conversation like everyone else. Not too hard.

    **** Dust btw

We do? You've got to be kidding. Dusty is trash. Has nothing to do with anything but race

Your opinions are booty. Not worth elaboration.

Functional 2B, Hunsicker was asked about Kent at 3B, he said "it's not a bottle of wine"

There's no reason Altuve can't be that guy

    Is this true?

Yeah he never caught framber once. He didn’t catch Verlander either.

    Faur.

I'm ok with putting him back at 2nd. Obviously we aren't better there

Is range is terrible but I'm more concerned about the bat. If he boots a few or is slow to turn a play I'll live if he's hovering around. 300

Yeah, it's kind of sad that he's in the Biggio mode now...DH is the best place for him

It's tough to watch as I've mentioned. Definitely Biggio mode. I wish he was a better baserunner because he has the speed to get infield hits.

I think we're going to need DH with Yordan. His health doesn't seem to add up

I only meant that the first time is crazy, watching that scene. Definitely rewatchable

Me and a buddy smoked a whole tree and went into the theater to see that. Awesome experience.
