Our pen early in the season was constantly blowing games though and is a big part in the current 1 run game record we have.

Edit: CHC bullpen actually has a lower ERA and FIP compared to our bullpen this season.

And this is my issue with Espada, and I know who he learned it from

Dezenzo went 5 for 12 including a bomb, has one 0'fer game and now is sitting back to back games

    Pressly

No matter what the numbers say, the Stros have the better bullpen.

Yeah, no doubt there’s way more talent in the Stros pen

I’d rather have Diaz in the lineup than Dezenzo

Just like all of us Dusty changed from year to year. Dusty didn't always suck, but he did in his final years for sure.

I get frustrated with some of these lineups and pitching staff decisions, but one thing I do see is that they are experimenting during the regular season to try and find the right lineups for the playoffs. I would have liked it to been more urgent in the minor leagues in playing guys at 1b, but it is no where as bad as Dusty’s stubbornness with Diaz and Chas last year. I also would have liked to see Diaz and Caratini playing more 1b during the season to prepare them. Diaz should be getting a good amount of starts at 1b the rest of the season as it becomes more and more important in case one of the outfielders or Whitcomb doesn’t start to stroke. Diaz at 1b, Caratini C, and Alvarez in LF eliminates at least one .200 hitter.

Dusty was a hop on the bus , feel the vibe, players manager...
But, that will usually only go so far if you are a horrible tactician.

    Right on.

But, it ook forever, and he lost at least a couple that were there for the taking.

Don't get me wrong. I love Dusty the person.

Eh. If you manage long enough, you gotta win one eventually right?

Only because Click Dusty proofed the team by building a dominant bullpen and trading a Dusty favorite in Straw. There's a reason why Dusty despite making WS and managing some of the best players in MLB history never won a championship in over 30 years of managing. That's until Click Dusty proofed the team.

He should thank the Astros for the turn-key championship team.

You are an idiot. Dusty won over 2000+ games and took 5 different teams to the playoffs. Just because you manage some of the best players, doesn't mean you win in baseball. Baseball is LITTERED with great teams that never made or won a WS. There is a lot of LUCK involved.
Do the Astros win the 2005 WS with a Healthy Bagwell? Probably.

What did this so called idiot say in his post that wasn't true?

A difference in opinions doesn't make a person an idiot. However a person who calls a person an idiot but has never met them might be considered an ----
