Can't wait for BOB's post game presser. I want to see him with a straight face say that either Osweiler will be his starter next week or that he will evaluate both and make a decision by Friday.
I think he's a good oc with the right players I simply have no faith he will choose the right players
"best decision for the team...blah blah...best decision for the team...blah blah." There is no way Savage doesn't start.
Bob in the press conference after the game. 'We have 3 very good QBs in this team, you can call it BS. But that's what we believed. Any one of them could win the game for us.' If this kind of BS is not enough to get him fired, then this team does deserve a dumb forked coach like him for years to come.
So apparently this rumor that OBrien had Brock "forced on him" is coming for La Canfora OBrien likes to defend himself with these anonymous leaks. Been doing it since he got here.
Yeah, it's BS IMO. There are countless quotes from OBrien saying he was the guy, he watched tape, he scouted him, and he believed in him Owner wanted a QB, that's true. But that's as far as it goes.If Obrien had said let's get someone else because Brock sucks McNair would not have said "NO I WANT BROCK!!"
After watching the Texans go grab Hoyer and Mallet (BOBs chosen children), it's hard to imagine that BOB didn't have heavy influence on the Brock signing. Unless the Hoyer/Mallet era was such a flame out that they basically took QB personnel decisions away from him entirely.
McNair wanted him to get a QB, this is the kernel of truth people are using to absolve OBrien of Brock. But McNair didnt necessarily want only Brock. So far OBrien has benched every QB he has hand-picked in addition to overseeing a decline in the OL and overall a pretty mediocre runninggame
Because there is no evidence at all that McNair independently chose Brock and ignored B'OB/RICK's opinion or forced them to play him over their wishes
It is okay Mitch, there will still be a Dr. Pepper social after the reverend speaks and Sunday's chicken dinner is complete.
