Wow. That kind of does make a lot of sense........... Do you have any insight, or just observing from a distance?
I don't think a) that's true (Adam Gase is on his second head coaching assignment); b) indicative of anything as there are other factors beyond just W/L and/or Xs and Os.
I am convinced the way BOB has wrangled control of the organization from everyone in his path is he has pics of Cal McNair at the donkey show in Juarez. That has to be the reason it just has to be.
I mean...If we fall to 0-4 and don’t fire BOB, that’s just pathetic. He has to be coaching for (one of his two) jobs, right? He has mortgaged our entire future. We’re the laughing stock of the league. His only saving grace is that the choke job to KC in the playoffs last year was arguably more due to how truly elite Mahomes et al are than BOBs ineptness (to which there are many examples). It’s hard to believe that our team is run by this guy and NE’s lead chaplain. What a joke. Complete circus. Texans have had some of the best individual players, no doubt, over the past two decades, but absolutely nothing to show for it. Not even a conference championship appearance. What a pathetic choke job BOB and McNairs are. They’re a bunch of losers who have lucked into great players (Watt, Foster, Andre, et al) and nothing else.
I have never felt worse about the state of the Texans then I do right now. In previous bad seasons they either had injuries (2017), the first pick to look forward to (2013, 2005), or a bunch of 1 score losses that was sure to revert to the mean the following season (2009, 2013). This looks like a hot mess that’ll take at least 2 years to fix.
Bob is eating into Watson's years. So sad. Bob should get prosecuted for a felony for wasting talent like this.
I really hope we don't wait until the literal end of the season to fire him. We can't afford to be scooped on talent. We have to fire BOB ASAP, make Romeo or Weaver Interim HC, and hire a new GM who can start the new coach search immediately (ideally before Christmas).
“What we really liked about Bill was his leadership, what he did at Penn State. He kept that program together during some dark days.” “Bill’s one of the hardest-working coaches I’ve ever seen,” McNair said. “He’s a good guy, a good family man. Football’s in his blood. He’s the first one in and the last one out every day. Winning the division four of the last five years is a testament to his ability as a coach.” “All three coaches are still coaching at an elite level because they’re good guys and really good coaches.” https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...unique-meeting-in-Texans-history-15616566.php
Bill O'Brien - is a disgrace to the Houston community. Wasted so many careers with this loser. His play calling is vanilla, vanilla, and well vanilla..... DD
