If we don’t bring Dusty back. Every time we lose a game next season, some people will be quick to say we shoulda kept Dusty. Some of those people we be the same ones that wanted Dusty fired. 106 wins regular season 11-2 play-offs World Champions
I think you have to look at his decisions (particularly this year) not as much as point decisions in a game, but looking across the whole year. Is giving a guy experience in this situation going to help him with confidence or put him in a position to succeed later on? I don’t know if that would change how any particular decision looks, but i think it’s the right frame to look at. The players seem to really love him and the confidence he instills in them.
Another underrated moment. Celebration, Dusty made it a point to congratulate Benny the Jet's parents. You don't see that ever in the pros.
Not really. He won with the best team in the league. I am glad he got a ring though. Why are you obsessed with racial stuff?
Dusty should get to do what ever he wants. Retire or come back. It would be hard to imagine him wanting back, and the Astros declining.
Nope. Really weird analogy but probably imagine your life factors on that. I don't think Baker is a good manager. Good everyone got a ring.
I gave this some thought throughout the playoffs…. ‘Looking back, there were lots of times he made head scratching moves. But I simply behind he was truly managing to see who he can go int war with during the playoffs. Best way to figure that out is to put folks in lesser pressure situations to see if they can hack it. Is a good way to build less experience players confidence.
That's very debatable. Just because you win more games doesn't necessarily mean you're the best team. Nobody thought that the 106 win Giants were remotely close to the best team in the league last year.
I know you are crack. Hinch's coaching record, outside of the Astros? Dusty is a HOF as a coach without the Astros. Hinch is gutter trash.....coaching any other team.
