If you follow the team closely, and on a daily basis, it becomes pretty obvious that he has a personal agenda that he considers more important than what is best for the team on a daily basis I could give you a huge long list but won't waste my time, just look at the last few days Chas, who has the best OPS on the team vs LHP sits vs a LHP. Yesterday he is pulled for Jon freaking Singleton Once again he is out of the lineup tonight so Dubon can play, a guy with an OPS more than 200 points lower, and a worse defender. But it's an ESPN Sunday Night game so i'm sure he wants his boy Dubon to get the spotlight This is just a tiny tiny tiny sample There is no way he is dumb enough to think this gives us the best chance to win these games, no way he is that dumb
Define legitimate proof. You think Dusty or Chas would come out and say it? Chandler Rome wrote about it in one of his articles for the athletic.
Dusty benched Chas the first 2 games of the season so he couldn't play in the Gold uniforms..the only time all season the team was going to wear them to celebrate the World Series win. Later Chandler Rome..who while polarizing for being blunt and lambasted for not being a "true Astros fan" is known to be impartial and honest reported that their was chatter in the locker-room that Dusty had disliked and had beef with Chas. Dusty even had to address it himself. Up until that point Chas was splitting outfield duties evenly with Julks and Meyers..but after that article Dusty started playing Chas more often. He got caught red-headed and had to react accordingly to dispel the rumors.
This is just out of hand. Seriously. How do we convince Crane and Brown that Dusty needs to go before it's too late? Is it too late?
He's also the best fastball hitter in the entire league, and gets yanked against pitchers that throw a ton of fastballs.
It's too late man. Just wait till next year. His final senile hurrah, but before he packs up and leaves, he's determine to prove that his way is the right way even at the sacrifice of the team.
Letting him go right now only 0.5 GB after winning the WS would be even more disastrous than Dusty’s decisions. The only players that likely have any issues with him are Chas and Diaz but my guess even Diaz is a stretch given he’s a rookie and knows the keys will be handed over to him next year. And then there’s the media. We get **** on enough as it is by the national media but this would probably take the cake. Our best bet is just ride it out and move on from him after the end of this season.
Sitting Chas isn't the only dumb thing he does. Bottomline, he appears to play favorites instead of probabilities.
Nah, you’re tripping…he’s all about projections and probabilities. Just like last night when he put Singleton in there for Chas. Didn’t you hear? Singleton was projected to statistically be the better hitter there! /s
Why are we assuming he is leaving...? He won the power struggle with the front office... and wants to coach longer than TLR did...
The only reason he won was because he got the WS ring. If he was truly valued, he would have a contract lasting more than this year. I doubt the Astros win the WS this year, so Dusty can fck off.
