Sacto's a veteran team, and probably won't fold this late in the season. We need to take care of business and try to win out. As far as Denver goes, they're playing out of their minds right now. Kenyon Martin might go off for 30 points and 15 boards against the marshmallow man Spoon.
Holy sh*t. If that's true, we're definitely f*cked. The last thing we want is to face SA or Dallas. Unless we play Seattle, we're out in the 1st round again.
If Denver beats us and then finishes with the same record as us (like in your senario) then we will finish 7th because we will lose the head-to-head tie break with them (2 games to 1).
Sacrameto are 3 losses and 1 win against Seattle. Kings won the last game but rashard and Radman were both out for Seattle.
Screw that. This team is primed for a playoff run. Yeah Seattle would definitely be the easiest opponent out of our options, but I'm not afraid of any teams. Our perimeter shooters will NOT have 4 off games in a row, and I'd put Van Gundy's series adjustments up against anybody in the league. Add to the fact that T-Mac will have something to prove, and Yao's recent surge, and this team is a bonafide contender.
too early to predict or do anything, since the only thing rockets have control with is the game it's playing, it doesn't have to make decision until the very next game starts. By the time Rockets play DEN, there should be 2 games played by Kings and Nuggets already, that's what, 75% of the win/lose combinations get eliminated, I say let's do the math on the 16th... if you really want to face SEA in first round. Somehow i got the feeling lost to DEN is not so bad.
If we beat Denver, we will likely finish #5 (ahead of Denver and ahead of or tied with the Kings); lose to them and likely #7 (a three way tie or we finish behind both). #6 will only happen two ways: Beat Denver and the Kings win out. They won't beat the Suns twice. Forget it. or Lose to Denver, the Kings lose both games to the Suns (likely) and hope Denver beats the Suns (Uh oh). Since a three way tie puts us at #7, Denver must finish alone at #5 leaving us tied or ahead of the Kings. The Rox should just go out and play their best. It will be the Mavericks or Spurs in the first round. I prefer the Mavs. BEAT DENVER!
I am looking at the Denver game as a pivotal game for 2 reasons. It may determine who gets the 6 slot and if we beat them it bodes well for the Rox in the playoffs. The Nuggets have a mad inside game with Martin, Nene and Camby and if we beat them, it will show that the matchup at the PF (without Juwan) will not be an achilles heel for us in the playoffs.
I fear all eight Western play off teams, plus Minny. I fear two Eastern play off teams, plus maybe Indy.
