More likely what the man actually looked like. I will give those Amish folks some Kudos that is the closest thing to following the actual teachings of Jesus, the rest of Christianity seems to be mostly hypocritical. DD
Lots of good advice here and lots of unwarranted abuse. If you're looking for a sense of community and a vehicle for spiritual fulfillment, go for it. Just choose wisely. Shop around. Spirituality doesn't have to come from a church. Keep your mind switched on. Science and religion are not always mutually exclusive though some sects are farther from modern thinking than needed. I'm not religious, but 12 years of Catholic parochial schools instilled a deep seated sense of concern for humanity, morality, spirituality, and a lifelong thirst for knowledge. I'm grateful for that foundation. I was lucky to come of age during the more "liberal" era of the church in the late '60's and '70's. Most teachers were young, hip, and a product of their time. Do some reading: the Dalai Lama has several excellent books, the Gnostic Gospels, Siddhartha, Tao Te Ching, Tillich, Be Here Now, etc. Regardless of the naysayers, all religions, at face value, provide a viable framework for living your life right. That's why we created them. Problems arise when some use it to promote the crazy ****. Good luck.
Black or White Jesus have biscuit abs. Why can't portrayal of Jesus have like a dad bod. He'd be more relatable.
