We all know Yao is so easy to make money, therefore,I would like to ask it is possible that yao cut his salary to get a solid back-up center?Just like Charles Barkley did before in order to get S.Pippen

Denver would be insane to let Birdman go.

    Jeff Foster anyone ?
has a great reb/min ratio ! Energie player, might not be too hard to get
i dream of a Granger+Foster=Tmac (add Dunleavy or Cook if salaries don't work :D)

To me the 2best options are Krstic and Foster

What about Theo Ratliff or Zaza Pachulia or maybe Kwame Brown?

Sheed and some Ron Ron is the name of a toxic drink you don't want to be pouring in your system. I think the Rockets quota for a nutcase has been filled. :D

Umm, Chandler makes $11 million next year. He's not worth half that.

bargnani's not an option. first of all he plays nothing like a center, fricken shoots threes and drives on occasions and weaker then lowry in the post. second toronto will never let go of this guy since he has finally showed some spark since he's been drafted.

third of all i personally hate the guy as raptors "fan" (i support my home country team). IMO he doesnt got that fire and toughness that everyone on the rockets show. hell he doesnt even show a bit of emotions when he scores a buzzerbeating three against celtics

    Just had a crazy idea:

    Trade Mcgrady for Al Jefferson

    Yao/Scola
    Jefferson/Landry
    Artest/Wafer
    Battier/Barry
    Brooks/Lowry

What for? if you get Jefferson you need to run the offense throu him, and not Yao, because he is a most viable way.

That would end on endless trade Yao posts about how yao is not respected and all that, or we still continue with Yao as a first option and Jefferson ends being overpayed and underused.

Jefferson can block shots too, and he can move to the 5 when Yao is on the bench, or resting for some games

We don't need a superstar backup center. All we need is a solid backup center that can hold his ground for awhile to give Yao some rest. Just give Joey Dorsey and Hayes more playing time. Rick Adelman play Yao mins very poorly this season. Overly playing Yao for long ridiculous stretches.

Playing Hayes and Dorsey is the answer to the backup C question? If that's what they go into the 09-10 season with, I'm pencilling in another first round exit.

Why the heck would Minnesota do that? Jefferson is a franchise type player.

That's what I'm talking about! They can alternate starting to cut down on wear and tear.

Come on Les, bite the bullet! Yao Ming's your cash cow :D

So you think us getting out of the first round this season was a fluke, or the competition will be tougher next year?

Jesus. This is to give Yao some rest during the regular season instead of running him out of gas when the playoff kick in. There are nights where Yao doesn't need to play bulk mins and that all depend on the matchup. Adelman and Yao need to sit down with ego aside and play Chuck when the matchup are sensible. I see many time this year where Yao is overly use and doing nothing and jsut wasting his energy when Hayes or Deke could've done the same duty.
