Worthy available candidates for backup center:
    1. Rasheed Wallace - If he is willing to sign for the MLE
    2. Nenad Krstic - We can pickup this guy for $2-4 million and he was very good before he tore his ACL. This guy is in Russia right now trying to regain his for so at worst we get a solid backup for cheap.
    3. Okur - Yes we all hate him, but damn would he be good under RA's system. He is like Brad Miller and able to shoot the 3 ball better than almost all our players.
    4. Rasho Nesterovic - He can grab rebounds and offer solid minutes off the bench. His last contract was $8 million and everyone knows he is not worth that much.
    5. E. Thomas - Tough and solid; can be signed for cheap!

Im all for Rasheed but will he be affordable and will he accept coming of the bench behind Yao.

    2nd unit

    Rasheed
    Landry
    Ron
    Wafer.....maybe or White
    Lowry.

Shoot I bet this unit could beat some other teasm Starters.

Yea I know :( Wistful thinking here that he will put wins over money at this late point in his career and sign for MLE. I would LOVE to have him on the Rox!

nenad and rasho are slower than yao, we need some balance not more stiff players....Okur is undersized...once again we need balance, okur adds to the undersized backup centers we have...

We wont have enuf money or minutes for Rasheed unless we were to trade a Landry....That being said, I think he'd be a perfect compliment to Yao.

Okur would be very good, and he's actually not a bad post defender (at least based on his defense against Yao from a couple years ago). How much would we cost, though?

Okur is undersized?!? Don't know which Okur you are talking about, but the one from Jazz is 6-11 you know... That is the same size Hakeem was!

Right, and he's not going to play backup center for any team at this moment, coming off a very good regular season, maybe his best in his career.

It's not how much we'd cost. Do you really think Okur will accept an offer to play back up center after posint 17/7 on 43% 3 point shooting? It's unrealistic.

player option though, right? I think he makes like 6 or 7 million, he's not getting more than that from anyone, he wont opt out if its his option
