Eric Snow, Dennis Scott, and Steve Smith all suck on TV. They know basketball but just don't know how to present it. They don't have "it". By far the worse analyst I see on TV is Bruce Bowen. Dude makes Emmit Smith look good on TV.
I loved the NBA on NBC, just thought it was a perfect marriage. Marv/Zar did the East and BIG games while Gumbal/Enberg, Walton, Snapper did the West along with the intro were ideal. They had it down but I guess money talks but my biggest issue with ABC is the dam schedule. You knew that Xmas was a GREAT doubleheader and then in Jan every Sunday was a killer matchup but now who the hell knows when ABC will broadcast a game. ESPN is overkill and pretty much a joke with so many dam so-called anaylist. Lets not even mention the joke of a playoff schedule, a 4-5 day layoff between games is just stupid and thats all ESPN. First week of the playoffs was a tripleheader on Sat and doubleheader on Sunday with NBC and TNT/TBS would handle the leftovers, that was GREAT. Games were at most 2 days apart and right back at it, shoot you even had some back to backs...remember the Rox/Sonics in 92/93? TNT is good basically because Marv/Collins/Zar/Stockton/Harlan but the pairings are way off. Pre/post games are gold so that is great, really not much I can crush them on, just get the broadcast teams right and its my choice.
I also love Bill Worrell, it would be cool if he got a national gig, just to see how he would do. I don't get why ESPN doesn't have Hannah Storm do their NBA show, she is easy on the eyes and and not annoying like Scott.
she did a very good job on nba on nbc. i dont know why she hasn't received a job on nba games nowadays.
steve kerr comments on the nba live games and everytime you make a turn over or shoot a bad shot he insults you. but i would like stev ekerr to be back
