Kobe really working the refs, even though -- as JVG correctly pointed out -- there were "multiple fouls" on that one possession. Kobe and Duncan...there are no bigger 'whiners' in the league today. In fact, it's not even close.
We underrate defense soooo much. Even as Rockets fans, which is the definition of odd. If I had to shoot 20 shots every other day with no one guarding me, I bet there'd be some inconsistency. And that's without 20,000 thousand people saying my mom is promiscuous and resembling a canine.
having off games is cool. it's the disappearing acts i'm talking about. where a guy takes 9 shots and you almost don't notice he played. where a guy is 2-13. those types of just horrendous games. after the celtcis wrap this game up i might look over their 23 playoff box scores to see how many really bad performances they've had, because it just seems like a lot. kobe's and lebron's and even duncan's don't get to do so much nothing so often and get called champion. even the good players/no stars pistons don't seem to have so many guys take nights off (except this year).
not that i want to be on the mark jackson side of many debates, but he said they were moving and even jvg could only joke "they're not illegal if they're not called" b/c he knew they were.
I disagree with so much of that post, but OK, I will just agree to disagree and go back to watching the game.
uhh, how blatant could pj brown be with that foul. after pierce gets that last call, gasol doesn't get that one? give me a break. celtics have this.
one of the best defenses of all-time just doubles kobe 40 feet from the basket and leaves an on-fire vujacic wide open for 3?
The Celtics deserve to lose... how in the world can you leave a wide open shooter like that? Use some freakin' common sense. Make them make a play.
you can add wade to that list. the machine is freakin' good. we need a bench scorer like him. he actually wants to take big shots and will make big shots. i thought luther had that potential after all his clutch shots in the reg. season 2 years ago
That was a foul, yeah. But Lakers will win this one. The Celtics didn't want it bad enough, because they CERTAINLY could have had it.
Celts blew their chance tonight. But with PP playing like a sick dog, they didn't deserve to win. Vujacic doing tonight on the big state what he's done several times during this season. When he gets in the zone, his set shots are automatic.
Two problems. First, you shouldn't leave Vujacic, as hot as he's been of late. Second, you double Kobe when he actually goes off the dribble and makes a play -- not 40 feet from the freakin' basket.
All the pro-Lakers are saying is that they don't deserve to be swept. I'll take that AND a trophy. With balls on.
