One thing you can bet on Kobe will get every call under the sun! him getting that quick technical in game 2 was ridicolous officiating - Jordan never wouldve gotten called for that at any stage of a game, and he was always a helluva lot more demonstrative than a brief appeal for a hack on the arm. League will make a call (if they havent already) and make sure this game is all Kobe and all Lakers.
well he's already been fouled twice with no call. so i guess we're not going to see any turnabout is fair play in this game. edit: only had to get fouled twice more to get the first call.
Unbelievable- whatever Boston throws up isn't going in. And everything is going the Lakers way. Crazy.
The Celtics look terrible. Will be a very long game for them if they don't snap out of it. The Lakers don't look that good either but they are playing hard.
Boston is just standing, they don't have any energy maybe because of the 2-0 lead. Lakers are super agressive, Brynat understands they need to attack the basket and just get to the ft line. Celtics gotta be careful
even with 6 ft's kobe has been hit at least 2 other times with no call (with mike breen being the one to point both times out - ray allen "blocking" his dunk attempt and rondo fouling on the jumper). of course apparently kobe can't shoot free throws tonight so it doesn't matter. those last 2 were terrible. edit: and even as much as the lakers are outplaying the celtics they're only up 6 and it's boston's ball. this is why they're losing.
Dang, can Kobe get any more foul calls? Geez, that last one was an obvious push-off from Bryant on Ray Allen.
That was a sweet block (and a great replay by ABC) by KG on Pau. The Celts are hanging close. That's all they need to do in the 1st half. Does anyone else sense that something is wrong with the Lakers? Their hustle and effort seem to be there, but something ain't right. Can't put my finger on it.
this is why KG's not a dominant scorer. dude can go for long stretches not even looking for his shot and not wanting to touch the ball. your team is struggling to score. get your arse in the damn post.
the celtics defense. the lakers role players aren't the beasts everyone makes them out to be against a really aggressive and good D like this. i still say more than anything the ease with which they score is what makes the lakers the lakers. the celtics take that away. and the celtics role players are ridiculously good at making plays. pj brown hasn't missed a shot since the playoffs began and cassell is hitting shots and rondo is playing well and posey hits big shots. they aren't being fazed liked the lakers role players. and damn, KG is 10 for his last 37? that is not good.
also, it seems like in all 3 games, the team playing the best early on is never leading by as much as they should be (in this case, the lakers aren't even leading).
I remember somebody doing what Posey did and they ended up getting a technical foul. Edit: nevermind that was College.
the problame with his is simple, he became a jumpshooter. Boston maybe forces it and they probably forget he is a great post player, great inside player.
I hear you but I'm not yet convinced it's all the Celts defense. Something is wrong with the Lakers chemistry. I'm going to change my pre-game prediction: IF this game ends up being a blowout, it will be the Celts blowing out the Lakers. At this point, this game looks to be close. LO needs a brain transplant.
I don't understand what the hell cassell is doing? He plays like he was the best star in the nba. he shoots every time he touches it
