Leon Powe reminds me of Carl Landry, anyone agrees?

The paint is rough, man. If you're a defender out of position (Gasol), you are a bowling pin, and the ball-handler is a bowling ball looking for a strike (KPerk).

so leon powe has been involved in 5 plays and has 9 free throws, and yet you can have farmar drive and obviously get fouled (the play where he just threw it over his head) and then gasol defintely gets fouled and no call (apparently a laker falling down is just ignored). 1 free throws for the lakers, about a million for the celtics. i'm sure it's just all even calls and the celtcis are being aggresive.

Kendrick Perkins is the slowest finisher in NBA history. Can anyone name another player who takes that long to finish a shot at the rim? Pau jumped about 3 seconds early and it wasn't because Perkins put a fake on him.

another ridiculous no call in the celtics favor leading to 3 points? what a shocker.

now the celtics can't miss 3's, the lakers can't buy a call and can't make a shot. celtics in 5 is starting to look better. i might've given the lakers too much credit.

Wow. Kobe w/ 3 fouls so far. I bet Lakers fans are jumping on board JVG's foul system right now.

This is sickening, im done watching this bull****.

Did I miss when PP donated an organ? This is so stupid, its become very annoying when it was clear he just faked to get brownie points for Finals MVP and they said he was a better offensive Celtic player than Larry Bird!!

there better be a lakers/kings game 6 in store for the celtics in game 3 after that sequence to end the half. that's when i'll tune back in because this game is over. paul pierce and ray allen are apparently eternally on fire now and everyone besides kobe and gasol is playing like garbage.

Heh, I dunno, there is some home cooking going along...it's not "Game 6" magnitude yet though. I count three or four questionable calls...and two of them came on the last play, where refs tend to swallow the whistle anyways.

I give Pierce props. Dude has been going on a tear since the 2nd half of Game 1. Ray Allen has also been spotted. But if there's any better indication this game is going the full 7 games to appease Stern, please let me know. There are some questionable calls against the Lakers (even JVG admits to this) to the point where it's ridiculous. Especially that last 10 second sequence before halftime. You're telling me that Fisher, Odom and Gasol did not get fouled...at all?? This game is over for the Lakers.

As I stated in the other thread, if Rivers plays the bench guys he needs to play (like Powe), the Celts are going to win. Especially when the Laker bench is nonexistent.

Anyone saw that shot of where the halftime crew was sitting at and saw JB chugging down a beer only to have an "oh ****, i'm on camera!" face and quickly give the beer to one of the helpers?

    Ditto!

Major props to the Celtics defense for turning Kobe Bryant into Tracy McGrady. In game 1, I thought it was more Kobe than the defense. Tonight, it is undeniably the defense. When you focus on closing the lane to Kobe, have KG inside and get guys like PP and Rondo to fight throught picks and keep their arms up, you have a very good defense.

At least Pau brought his game face and has capitalized on the single coverage. But the bottom line is the Celts starters are kicking the Lakers' starters, plus Powe was stellar off the bench. Reminds me of what he did to us this season. If KG's shot was on target, this lead could be 20.

Celts need to come out hard in the 3rd quarter and kick the Lakers while they are down. The Lakers must dig deep and show some guts and heart.

lakers have a better chance than expected to win this one if they can get some officiating called in their favor.
