I dont get why the lakers fans whined about this? Imagine if it was kobe who was injured and came up to lead the lakers for the W. You know what they gonna claim? Kobe is the greatest player, kobe is better player than MJ blah blah blah! Yes, the media overhyped Pierce injured, so what, that's what the media are for, they want drama so that they can sell better! I dont think PJ is old. He just miss Tex Winter!
Boston really needs to win this series now. Fights broke out at the viewing party at the Staples Center. Apparently, some Laker fans jumped a Celtics fan and another fight had about 30 people swinging and throwing things. I think the main points people are holding in terms of the reffing in game 2 is the fact that the lakers were not as aggressive as the celtics. I disagree, people who believe the lakers got shafted pull up the shot charts, which show the lakers presence in attacking the paint, but bar that those are just indicators of dribble penetration and possibilities of contact. I watched the game and saw a number of just ticky-tack fouls that were called when the lakers were matching the aggressiveness of the celctics. By the midpoint of the 4th quarter when essentially the players were allowed to play only 3 fouls were called the rest of the game, even with kg/allen/pierce in the game they blew a 20 point lead.
thats classless of lakers fans jumping another teams fans when outnumbered BUT thats incredibly stupid of the celtics fan to go to a Lakers viewing party, its one thing to go to the game when they are playing at Staples but why in the world would you go to a Lakers viewing party. He knew he would be in the minority there (maybe by himself) and if he did act like a fool he should have been prepared for any lashings by the lakers fan. imagine if a jazz fan came to one of the rockets viewing parties and the jazz won chances are some of the rockets fans would take out their agression on that jazz fan. come to think of it i am surprised that he was let into the party to begin with. if my friend asked me to come to a viewing party like that i would pass knowing I would be in the minority.
