Ray Allen, Fisher, and Rondo are far from 1-Dimensional......

What does Horry have to do with it?
its about the Celtics and Lakers and Cassell is a Celtic!

    like Garage Inc
Some of you really need to Turn the Page
instead you want to Ride the Lightning and treat the Hero of the Day as Unforgiven
Sorry to be the Harvestor of Sorrow
but the Memory remains the same, Sam played well and the Celtics won
    so Nothing Else Matters
its not about me, though it seems I'm the Master of Puppets here
its ok to claim One player played bad on a couple of plays
but its about the entire game and the Struggle Within
to play your best before you retire and Fade To Black
its like Where ever I May Roam haters just want to Seek and Destroy
our heroes, its Sad But True

Well I guess you're not gonna answer the question. Thanks for replying though.

It's strange how people say weird s*** when they can hide behind the internet.

Where can I get the miracle doctor that Paul Pierce had in the locker room?

I dunno, that was one of the worst acting jobs I've seen all year, kinda turned me off on Pierce.

Ray Allen, career wise, is not 1-dimensional. He can pass the ball and drive the ball and even throw it down on people throughout his career.

Being with Pierce and Garnett may have turned Allen into more of a spot up shooter.

Yeah, I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. He himself said it's embarrassing. Maybe he was really in that much pain, and maybe he did hear something "pop." And then it turned out he could put weight on it and was fine. It's (barely) possible. Most likely he really did totally overreact because he was thinking "oh noes! not in the finals! wahhhhh!"

This would pump me up if I was on the Lakers.

    Really?

    Ray Allen - Jump shooter

    Fisher - Jump Shooter

    Rondo - Drive and dish

I guess it depends on your definition of one dimensional.

They are all certainly better than Chuck Hayes who is UBER one dimensional.

And I think Paul Pierce was totally embellishing, over reacting, dramatizing it......but then again, I do not like Pierce....he is punkish.

Fisher and Rondo are definitely 1-dimensional. They are in the same sense that people will say Battier is "one dimensional". Rondo even more so. Fisher hits 3s and plays defense, just like Battier, except Fisher is a lot worse defensively. Rondo really only plays defense.

Both these teams have the same amount of "one dimensional" players starting as Houston. Yao, McGrady, and Scola are not one dimensional.

And hopefully this series will quiet down all the talk about needing a great point guard to compete. These teams both have mediocre point guards.

I think the notion of "one-dimensional" is getting over used. Shaq is one-dimensional by that standard. He can only score and defend around the basket.

Most players, including some star players, have one strong suit that is useful for the team. Not many players are what we call "all-around" players.

A guy IMO is 1 dimensional if he is relatively inept on one end of the floor. Of the players mentioned only VR and Rondo (though less so) are 1 dimesional.

Fisher isn't one dimensional at all. He plays excellent defense, plays smart, and you have to play him honest on offense (cover him). He is a role player, but not 1 dimensional.

Just because you are not a star doesn't make you 1 dimensional. Having flaws easy to exploit on one end does.

So the Lakers were about 2 point (is that right?) underdogs in game 1. They proceed to lose game 1, so now I see for game 2 they're actually 1 point favorites, in Boston no less?

Oddsmakers really think Pierce's injury will be that much of a factor? Or is it something else?

Maybe they are responding to motivation. If the Lakers lose, odds are long (need to win 4 of 5), if they win, they have a great chance. Thinking the team against the wall will play harder and more focused. Also not just Pierce, but the big guy is banged up too.

Also, remember odds move with public opinion, so that they money is even. Odds are not the best guess of objective analysts or anything.

Personally, I'd take Boston and the point. Why folks keep ignoring their home record and record vs the WC is beyond me.
