Brooks is in love with his low bounce pass that usually reaches Yao's knees.... Not good! Lowry is a better PG, Brooks a better SG.
yup. sometimes that bounce pass to yao from brooks is just fine when yao is not being doubled. but ideally you have to throw the ball higher. i've noticed on a number of occasions even when lowry throws a bounce pass to either yao or scolandry, the bounce is a lot higher.
i was hoping Alderman would of play lowry again rose vs chicago. That would be a test for Lowry. we will see tonite on how he fair with Dwill.
It also helps that Lowry is a bit stronger...so asking AB to go in there like a maniac and draw contact won't do much good for him.
I personally think that brooks is a good started that way we can put a shooter around yao ming, Plus its good lowry is off the bench as he can create for other teammates since he is a better passer the brooks
I agree with the premise of the thread. I think it might be a little early to be THAT enthused about Kyle, but I can certainly envision him as a decent quality starting point guard in the near future, something I have trouble doing with AB. And I'll whisper here and try not to jinx it, but... ...he's shot 50% from the floor since he got here...obscene efficiency from a guard spot.
that theory only works when the shooter plays inside out game. Brooks is shoot (or drive but get blocked) first PG.
Lowry needs to body up on Deron today and not let him get loose. I'm worried about him because Deron is taller and can just shoot over the top. He doesn't really need to make any moves to score on Lowry as long as his J is falling. If it isn't, he's still built like a tank and might still bully Lowry (I'm not sure if Lowry can hold his own even if he is strong for a PG). All in all, I'm hoping that he can surprise us the way Brooks did when he pestered Chris Paul into a bad game.
Big statement in this game tonight by Lowry. I think he is a favorite to be transitioned into the starting role before the playoffs. This was as close to a playoff atmosphere as the Rockets have had, and he pretty much pulled the team up off the floor tonight, when other players were wilting a bit. He really is already a more efficient player than Brooks. More minutes will hopefully get him more comfortable on the defensive end of the court as well. The defensive talent is there, but he hasn't performed up to the billing (although be it against some great guards).
