USC was already under investigation when Kiffin took over so he had to know this was coming. Kiffin was also the OC at USC when all of this went down in the first place. So unless you believe that he had no idea what was going on, he knew exactly what he was getting into. Even still, the USC job is something you cannot turn down. Still trying to figure out why USC hired him though.
I don't think its fair to let him keep Vince Young's Heisman Trophy. Actually I do think its fair. The university cheated, but Bush still had an amazing season.
Not to mention all the rules violations he committed at Tennessee in his one season there. I don't feel sorry for him, thats for sure.
eh, a slap on the wrist for all the wrong doing...still, nothing will ever compare to the death penalty that SMU got...
PeteThamelNYT Talked to a compliance guy about USC transfer questions. 1) Juniors and seniors at USC right now can transfer without sitting out a year.
I saw this on an Orangeblood's message board: USC <del>three-pete</del> <del>two-pete</del> <del>one-pete</del> no-pete thought it's hilarious. Though I think the 2-year bowl ban is a little harsh, I'm not a fan of punishing current players for something previous players have done.
Agreed. Tuberville was on 610 this afternoon and said it should go to a vote though. He also thought sanctions should have been worse considering the allegations against USC.
This is hilarious. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Southern_California_vs._Notre_Dame_football_game
