He got double just as much last year yet he average significantly more points, shot at a higher percentage, all in less minutes. Before his injury he was putting up 27 PPG and rising, constantly putting up 30+ PTs despite being doubled and tripled. I don't know how you can argue that this year, he up a significant offensive drop-off.

come on not this again, YAO wasn't the dominate player in the last fews games that we won, it was a TEAM effort, you guys need to stop with the this is "Yao's team" or this is "TMAC's team" , the MVP of our team right now is coach Adelman, for coming up with the 2 small guards combo, which speeds up our team, the offense runs so fast today i had to slow down my tv to be able to realize that they just score a basket :D i still think we still need our "peja" in this offense, a pure shooter...go get mike miller !!!!

What is the problem with these haters producing only passive energy and sarcastic statements? To show what? You are cleverer than anyone else? You are wiser than anyone else? Or you have more love on the Rockets than anyone else?

By disgracing others, you have disgraced yourself one step ahead.

The question is can the Rockets get very far with him? If T-Mac doesn't commit to the system then he'll torpedo any hope the Rockets have of making the playoffs. More than likely at that point he'll be thrown to the Bulls when the season ends.

But what the hell. I'm going to predict that T-Mac comes back committed to playing team ball, Adelman's offense thrives and the Rockets go on a tear.

Well, to be honest, the Rockets ARE sitting with a 20 million dollar hole in the line up...

Let's say it is converted to two 10 million dollar players, would the team be much better now with Yao leading it? *shrug*

At the end of the day, like I said.... there is no such thing as whose team this is. Duncan ain't gonna win the championship if he did not have Parker and Ginobilli to help him with the scoring or Bowen to defend the opposing SG. This 'whose team it is' phenomenon is one over rated debate designed to polarize the board and rouse fans against their own players.

I want to disagree with you sooooo much, but your logic is flawless. Rafer has been Rafertastic as of late. I can't help but agree with you. Damn you sir, damn you!

Are the Spurs TD's team? Or Tony Parker's? Or Manu's?

I don't think these debates are productive. What I will say is that over the last stretch Yao has been exactly what you want your big center to be--the anchor of the team.

That's not saying that you don't need the rest of the pieces. Obviously you do. But every guy has got to fill their role and Yao has done exactly that.

We've played some creampuffs so far but in Yao's defense so did McGrady when the Rockets when 19-10 for the most part. It was a soft schedule for them then too. I'm just happy we're winning and its good to see progress all around, actually see people smiling and having fun on the court. It's easy to smile when you're winning, but I genuinely think they're having fun playing good team basketball. It's refreshing.

Well, i hate to say it, but -OF usually are the cause of these debates, whether they be TOF or YOF they come up and say this is so and so's team. You can either try and stop it with logic or understand that you'll never defeat an illogical person with logic. Look, if anything, i'm a ROF. I watch these guys because they are Rockets, thats it. The only guy I'd still watch if he wasn't a Rocket would be Shane Battier. Even then, I don't know if I'd root for him. I really really hate the player specific alliances.

I thought this was the most impressive win of the win streak.

don't think so, the wins are mainly because of the energetic efforts from the whole team. Everyone is gaining confidence and starting to play well in a relatively easier schedule.

Yeah, a couple victories over weak eastern conference teams can make fans to start get delusional...

In the playoffs, when we are playing the big boys, and without tmac, you expect Yao to factor without a star guard that can create his own shot or for others??? You expect rafer and luther "no pg skills" to take over a game when needed against Dallas, SA, PHX? I like what this team is doing without tmac, good team work and effort. But Tmac should be a part of this, even change his styles, however we still need his presense when needed

Our backcourts definitively have stepped up. Is it because this is finally a Yao's team, of Tmac's absence, or Adelman's system? All of the above? :D

Yes, but when Tmac come, it's more difficult to be unselfish. Because, he has so many jump shots and sometimes with no aware of teammates!
