Know your role and shut your mouth.

Used to love the Rock. He's the one that finally brought me over to WWF. May have to start checking it out on occasion.

NO. Absolutely NOT. And nobody was able to do it better before him either. He is the funniest, most charismatic, entertaining, and electrifying man in sports entertainment history. That's why he's the "GREAT ONE".

Ahh yeah, not to mention the storylines were so unpredictable. They would usually throw you a surprise twist at the end of the telecast. Then I would be like "mannnnnn I gotta wait till next Monday to see what happens..."

I remember I always wanted to order the pay-per-views but my parents wouldn't let me :(

Man I miss the days when the Rock would own Raw back in the late 90's to 2000's...

I didn't see it last night, haven't watched a full episode of RAW in about 7 years. But does he still talk in the 3rd person?

I sort of want to watch wrestling but I just can't get over the fact that its just acting and fake. Who decides who wins or looses?

Whatever outcome generates the highest ratings.

Got goosebumps watching those clips  It's been a while since I cared about wrestling.

Funny you say 7 years, because the Rock has been gone for 7 years.

...And Robbie380 isn't gonna tell your candy ass if The Rock still talks in the third person!

I got over my keen interest in pro wrestling several years ago, but while I was watching it regularly, I heard this same thing from people that you say. And the only thing I can ask you is: What do you watch on tv that is NOT 'just acting and fake'?

Movies, tv shows, even 'reality' shows are scripted to a degree. Pro wrestling doesn't even claim anymore to not be fake. It's just entertainment. 'Fake' is not even an issue.

Actually, don't think WWE is doing that bad right now but the people, like myself, who watched about 10 years ago has left and been replaced with a younger audience, like you mentioned. I remember reading a tweet last night mentioning that most adults were going nuts when Rock came out while kids didn't get it. Back when Austn, Rock, HHH/DX and Undertaker were in their prime, WWE was mainstream but now it is mostly focused on kids. They have no really competition since TNA is a joke, tried watching their show about a month ago and it was worse then WCW's last days.

I'm interested in Rock's statement about not leaving again, not sure how they are going to explain when he leaves back to Hollywood, unless they go the injury route.

as for the guy who mentioned stuff about the kids in the crowds yeah I noticed that too when they were panning around the audience the older folks were going nuts and the kids like 6-13 and all were sort of just like huh? ok and not really getting it.
