I love having a physical keyboard but having a 4.3" screen has apparently trumped that. At least in my book.
Nice job, dude. T-Mobile has Even More Plus (no contract) plans starting @ 59.99 for 500 minutes with unlimited data and text. If you need unlimited minutes that's 79.99. Cheaper than AT&T and Verizon. :Knock on wood: Hopefully T-Mobile never decides to go to tiered data plans.
That's exactly why I switched. 60 bucks a month and no contract, plus a phone that is comparable to iPhone? Done deal.
How did you get to pay $350 and a no-contract plan? I am looking to upgrade 1 phone in my family's 3 phones to G2 and it's supposed to be $500. The plans are also confusing to me. Is there a unlimited data plan for just 1 phone rather than data plan for the whole family? We will only have 1 smart phone.
Craigslist. Bought it "like" new, in box, all accessories, etc. Easy to find them floating around since t-mobile is running a buy one get one free deal. If I had bought the phone from t-mobile, I'd be locked into a two year contract paying 80 bucks a month... or i'd have to pay 500 for the phone outright
That’s not really true for all of us, like me I can be grandfather in with my current G1 plan and get a full discount on a new phone.
One of the biggest things I'm worried about is getting my tethering working with OSX. I don't think it tethers wirelessly, if at all
Yeah but I wont be force to pay 79.99 per month I will only pay 60.00 for virtually the same plan and get a new phone for $200. But nothing caches my eye at the moment.
I have the Vibrant and I don't like it at all. Miss the keyboard on my G1. Don't really like the way G2 looks. Any new android phones with keyboard coming out on tmobile any time soon?
This. If I was looking for a top-of-the-line android phone on T-Mobile, no way I would buy before November. You might have some serious regrets with the G2.
I bought the G2 knowing I'm gonna flip it, minor upgrade from my Nexus but it will keep me amused, plus I bought it on contract cause I got a upgrade after 8 months Hah
Project Emerald is T-Mobile's launch of their 1st HSPDA+ phones. The G2 and the MyTouchHD. So if you want one with a physical keyboard, go for the G2 otherwise wait for the soon to be announced MyTouchHD.
