What is sad is that Harden with all his talent needs to put up 60 points to be talked about positively, which will last one hour till it gets spinned into about how he cheats and is ruining the game. He is so despised, based on subtle innuendos, and BS narratives concocted, that merely read any thread of comments by fans and it’s 80% to 90% hate and negative about his play and him.

The NBA should be ashamed of themselves for turning basketball into Olympic style gymnastics, where it’s about artistic over competitiveness results. The refs are key to the ratings grab and the TV soap opera. The NBA is addicted to MJ and his surreal impact on the NBA, that they forget what is the point of basketball. To score more points than the opponents, using fair rules applied equally.

I think this generations “NBA” fan or your average “NBA twitter fan” cares more about all the things that surround basketball rather than the game itself. Any and all drama, player movement, coach hiring and firings, celebrities and the teams/players they “like”, clowning on certain players and all that crap. This stuff trumps the game itself to these types.

It’s also obvious the media outlets are well aware of that and most pander to it.

Stan Van Gundy is not a media.

    It's a buffet.
