She is not a billionaire, either (but should be - in US$, at least - in a couple of years)...but yes, she'll never run out of money. FYI: as of 2006, she's approx. the 122nd richest person in the UK, worth ~520M pounds. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/richlist/fullSearch/0,,2006-1-2,00.html
I dotn know which editions you have seen, but the words in mine are so small, my old eyes have trouble focusing on them after a while. They are geared towards anyone that appreciates fantasy fiction. That she wrote them in language that wouldnt be too far over preteens heads should not be a knock on a well written series. And yes, I Will be getting this one. oh and isnt Paul McCartney the richest person in England?
I've read them all, and frankly I'm surprised they're still considered "kids" books. But they're still great.
The books get progressively darker in the series, which is nice. Is it bad for a 20 year old to like the series? Whatever. Bah, I read the series over Christmas and now I can't wait for the final book. July...damn.
Well I'm 25...and after finally reading HBP this past month I'm totally fixated on the whole series..can't wait for book 7..in fact I can't wait for 6 and 7 (and for that matter 5) to hit the big screen.
Any bets if J.K.Rowling says she wants to do another seven part wizard series targeted at early teens that she could sign a book deal guaranteeing her $1 billion?
She's gonna kill him. I don't know what would suck more: reading all 7 books and she kills him or reading all seven books and she doesn't kill him Either way I'm going to be very sad because waiting for the next Harrt Potter book has been the highlight of my summer for the last ten years now. I think I need to cry.
I really think she'd be betraying her fans by killing him...after you invested so much into a character, that never quite has found happiness and peace...and he dies in the end. That's just lame. He deserves the happy ending..and killing a character off to prevent spinoff stories is even lamer.
